Abstract

Abu vulkanik merupakan salah satu material yang baru. Material abu vulkanik dapat menambah kandungan mineral mudah lapuk yang banyak mengandung unsur yang bermanfaat bagi tanaman. Proses dekomposisi abu vulkanik dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti bahan organik. Abu vulkanik yang terdekomposisi dapat menambah nutrisi dalam tanah. Proses dekomposisi ini dapat dipercepat dengan bantuan bahan organik dan akar tanaman. Bahan organik yang dapat digunakan yaitu Tithonia diversifolia dan tanaman penutup tanah (Arachis pintoi). Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian bahan organik dan tanaman penutup tanah terhadap sifat kimia tanah pada abu vulkanik, sehingga abu vulkanik dapat melepaskan unsur hara Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2021 – Maret 2022 yang berlokasi di Dusun Segaran, Desa Kendalpayak, Kecamatan Pakisaji, Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan delapan perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan menggunakan RAK dengan kombinasi abu vulkanik dengan bahan organik dan Arachis pintoi. Data selanjutnya diolah menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2016 dan dianalisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) menggunakan GenStat. Perlakuan terdiri dari V1B0A0, V1B0A1, V1B1A0, V1B1A1, V2B0B0, V2B0A1, V2B1A0 dan V2B1A1 (V1 Kelud, V2 Bromo). Dosis bahan organik yang diberikan adalah 20 ton/ha. Variabel yang diamati diantaranya kandungan unsur C, N, P di abu vulkanik,tanah tertimbun dan serapan hara pada tanaman. Pengaplikasian bahan organik dan penanaman Arachis pintoi setelah tiga tahun serta perbedaan jenis abu vulkanik tidak berpengaruh terhadap kandungan unsur C, N, dan P pada abu vulkanik. Hasil analisis ANOVA menunjukkan perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kandungan C, N dan P. Kandungan unsur hara yang tersedia pada abu vulkanik dipengaruhi oleh jenis abu vulkanik, pemberian bahan organik dan Arachis pintoi. Hasil pelapukan abu vulkanik yang terjadi juga mempengaruhi kandungan unsur hara pada tanah tertimbun. Hal ini dikarenakan terdapat sebagian unsur hara yang mengalami pencucian ke tanah tertimbun. Hasil total kandungan C, N dan P yang terlepas oleh abu vulkanik dibantu bahan organik dan Arachis pintoi didapatkan dari kandungan abu vulkanik, serapan tanaman, dan kandungan tanah tertimbun. Total kandungan C, N dan P meningkat dari perlakuan segar, sehingga dapat disimpulkan abu vulkanik dengan berbagai perlakuan mampu membantu melepaskan unsur hara sehingga abu vulkanik dapat dimanfaatkan.

English Abstract

Volcanic ash is a new material. Volcanic ash material can add easily weathered mineral content which contains many elements that are beneficial to plants. The process of decomposition of volcanic ash is influenced by several factors such as organic matter. Decomposed volcanic ash can add nutrients to the soil. This decomposition process can be accelerated with the help of organic matter and plant roots. Organic materials that can be used are Tithonia diversifolia and ground cover plants (Arachis pintoi). The study was conducted to determine the effect of organic matter and ground cover plants on the chemical properties of the soil in volcanic ash, so that volcanic ash can release nutrients. This research was conducted in February 2021 – March 2022 which is located in Segaran Hamlet, Kendalpayak Village, Pakisaji District, Malang Regency. This study used eight treatments and three replications using RAK with a combination of volcanic ash with organic matter and Arachis pintoi. The data was then processed using Microsoft Excel 2016 and analyzed for variance (ANOVA) using GenStat. The treatments consisted of V1B0A0, V1B0A1, V1B1A0, V1B1A1, V2B0B0, V2B0A1, V2B1A0 and V2B1A1 (V1 Kelud, V2 Bromo). The dose of organic matter given is 20 tons/ha. The variables observed included the content of the elements C, N, P in volcanic ash, buried soil and nutrient uptake in plants. Application of organic matter and planting of Arachis pintoi after three years and, different types of volcanic ash affect the content of elements C, N, and P in volcanic ash.The results of the ANOVA analysis showed that the treatment had no significant effect on the content of C, N and P. The available nutrient content in volcanic ash was influenced by the type of volcanic ash, organic matter and Arachis pintoi. The available nutrient content in volcanic ash is influenced by the application of organic matter and Arachis pintoi plants. In addition, the different types of volcanic ash also affect the nutrient content released. The weathering of volcanic ash that occurs also affects the nutrient content of the buried soil. This is because there are some nutrients that experience leaching to the buried soil. The results of the total C, N and P content released by volcanic ash assisted by organic matter and Arachis pintoi were obtained from volcanic ash content, plant uptake, and buried soil content. The total content of C, N and P increased from fresh treatment, so it can be concluded that volcanic ash with various treatments is able to help release nutrients so that volcanic ash can be utilized
