Abstract

Komponen dari sumber daya manusia pendidikan yang harus ditingkatkan secara berkesinambungan melalui pengembangan sumber daya manusia adalah guru. Guru dituntut untuk bertanggung jawab dalam menjalankan tugasnya agar dikatakan kinerjanya baik. Pendidikan dan pelatihan dibutuhkan oleh guru untuk bisa lebih memahami dunia kerjanya dan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi dan kepribadiannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kinerja guru dan pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Lowokwaru Kota Malang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah explanatory research serta metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Terdapat dua variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendidikan dan pelatihan sebagai variabel independen dan kinerja guru sebagai variabel dependen. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah stratified random sampling dengan sampel yang berjumlah 70 responden yang merupakan guru SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Lowokwaru Kota Malang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil uji t variabel pendidikan dan pelatihan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai sig. 0,003 < 0,05 dan nilai t-hitung 3,129 > t-hitung 1,995. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pendidikan dan pelatihan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Lowokwaru Kota Malang.

English Abstract

The component of educational human resources that must be continuously improved through human resource development is the teacher. Teachers are required to be responsible in carrying out their duties so that they are said to have good performance. Education and training are needed by teachers to better understand the world of work and are expected to improve their competence and personality. This study aims to describe teacher performance and the influence of education and training on the performance of state junior high school teachers in Lowokwaru District, Malang City. The type of research used is explanatory research and the method used is quantitative. There are two variables used in this study, namely education and training as the independent variables and teacher performance as the dependent variable. The sampling technique used in this study was stratified random sampling with a sample of 70 respondents who were teachers of public junior high schools in Lowokwaru District, Malang City. The data collection method used is a questionnaire. Data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inferential statistics. Based on the results of the t-test, the variables of education and training have a significant effect on teacher performance with a sig. 0.003 <0.05 and t-count value 3.129 > t-count 1.995. The conclusion of this study is that education and training have a significant effect on the performance of state junior high school teachers in Lowokwaru District, Malang City.
