Abstract
Udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) memiliki pertumbuhan yang cepat, dapat mendiami seluruh kolam sehingga dapai dibudidayakan dengan densltas yang tinggi. Salah satu sistem yang digunakan oleh pembudidaya udang vaname saat ini adalah sistem budidaya intensif yang dapat menyebabkan akumulasi bahan organik. Akumulasi bahan organik dapat mempengaruhi kadar oksigen terlarut dalam perairan tambak. Kadar oksigen terlarut dalam kegiatan budidaya intensif dapat dihasilkan menggunakan aerasi permukaan dan diffuser aerator sebagai sarana penting untuk aerasi dan sirkulasi air yang juga mampu mengurangi konsentrasi nutrien terlarut. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan sistem aerasi yang berbeda terhadap TOM (Total Organic Matter) dan kelimpahan plankton di tambak udang vaname intensif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium PT. Central Proteina Prima, Kabupaten Tegal melalui program MBKM (Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka) Magang Industri Bersertifikat mulai tanggal 12 September 2022 - 4 November 2022. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di tiga petak tambak dengan tiga perbedaan perlakuan sistem aerasi. Perlakuan perbedaan sistem aerasi yang digunakan menggunakan aerasi kincir, diffuser, dan kombinasi aerasi kincir dan diffuser. Parameter uji yang diukur dalam penelitian ini meliputi kadar Total Organic Matter (TOM), kelimpahan plankton, kadar pH, kadar Nitrit (NO2'), dan kadar Total Ammonia Nitrogen (TAN). Hasil penelitian parameter utama TOM terbaik pada petak 1 dengan kadar 92,62 ppm, petak 3 87,78 ppm, dan petak 5 88,2 ppm. Pengukuran total plankton rata-rata tertinggi didapatkan pada minggu ke-8 pada petak 1 dengan nilai 1,116,900 sel/ml, minggu ke-1 pada petak 3 dengan nilai 2,866,000 sel/ml, dan minggu ke-4 pada petak 5 dengan nilai 616,000 sel/ml. Plankton yang paling banyak ditemukan berasal dari filum Chlorophyta. Hasil pengukuran TAN terbaik pada petak 1 dengan kadar 0,1026 ppm, petak 3 0,1108 ppm, dan petak 5 0,067 ppm. Hasil pengukuran nitrit terbaik pada petak 1 dengan kadar 0,0204 ppm, petak 3 0,0236 ppm, dan petak 5 0,0242 ppm. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa penggunaan sistem aerasi yang berbeda dengan menggunakan kincir, diffuser, dan kombinasi tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap kadar Total Organic Matter (TOM) dan kelimpahan plankton dalam perairan tambak.
English Abstract
Vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) has the ability to grow in less than 6 months, it also can inhabit entire ponds so that it can be cultivated with high density. One of the systems currently used by vannamei shrimp cultivators is an intensive cultivation system which can cause accumulation of organic matter. The accumulation of organic matter from increasing the amount of feed in ponds can lead to a level of eutrophication in pond ecosystems followed by an increase in phytoplankton biomass. Dissolved oxygen levels in intensive aquaculture activities can be generated using surface aeration and diffuser aerators as important means of aeration and water circulation which are also capable of reducing dissolved nutrient concentrations. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of using different aeration systems on Total Organic Matter (TOM) and plankton abundance in intensive vannamei shrimp ponds. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of PT. Central Proteina Prima, Tegal Regency through the MBKM (Independent Learning-Independent Campus) Certified Industrial Internship program from 12 September 2022 - 4 November 2022. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method. The research was conducted in three ponds with three different treatments of aeration systems. Treatment of differences in the aeration system used uses pinwheel aeration, diffuser, and a combination of pinwheel aeration and diffuser. The parameters measured in this study included Total Organic Matter (TOM) levels, plankton abundance, pH levels, Nitrite (NO2') levels, and Total Ammonia Nitrogen (TAN) levels. The results of the optimum TOM measurement in pond 1 with levels of 92,62 ppm, pond 3 87,78 ppm, and pond 5 88,2 ppm. The highest average total plankton abundance measurement was obtained at week 8 in pond 1 with a total of 1,116,900 cells/ml, week1 in pond 3 with a total of2,866,000 cells/ml, and week 4 in pond 5 with a total of 616,000 cells /ml. The most common plankton found is from the phylum Chlorophyta. Optimum TAN measurement results in pond 1 with levels of 0,1026 ppm, pond 3 0,1108 ppm, and pond 5 0,067 ppm. Optimum nitrite measurement results in pond 1 with levels of 0,0204 ppm, pond 3 0,0236 ppm, and pond 5 0,0242 ppm. The conclusion of this study is that the use of different aeration systems using paddlewheels, diffusers, and combinations of both has no effect on Total Organic Matter and plankton abundance in vannamei shrimp ponds
