Abstract
English Abstract
The potential for vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is feared to decrease due to a disease that attacks the shrimp. Giving probiotics Lactobacillus sp. is one of the solutions so that shrimp can survive disease attacks. The purpose of this study was to analyze the abundance of Lactobacillus sp. in the intestine of vannamei shrimp (L. vannamei) after administration of probiotics and analyzing the effect of differences in stocking density on the abundance of Lactobacillus sp. in the intestine of vannamei shrimp (L. vannamei). This research was carried out at the Prigi Marine Cultivation Installation (IBL) and at UPT Fish Health and Environmental Laboratory Bangil, East Java in January - April 2023. The research method used is descriptive narrative method. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using a descriptive narrative method. This research started with the preparation of vannamei shrimp rearing in three ponds with different stocking densities, shrimp rearing and probiotic administration, culture media preparation, media planting, bacterial colony counting, and data analysis. The results obtained that the abundance of Lactobacillus sp. in vannamei shrimp intestine for the 30th day the highest abundance was in pool B with an abundance of bacteria of 1.41 x 104 CFU/mL, while for the 60th day the highest abundance was in pool C with an abundance of bacteria of 1.2 x 105 CFU/mL. Whereas the largest difference between the abundance of bacteria on the 30th and 60th days is in pool C with a difference value of 11.45 x 104 CFU/mL, the smallest difference is in pool B with a difference in abundance value of 0.02 x 104 CFU /mL. In addition, differences in the stocking density of vaname shrimp did not directly affect the abundance of Lactobacillus bacteria in the intestine of vannamei shrimp.
