Abstract
Indonesia saat ini sedang memasuki era bonus demografi, diperkirakan fenomena ini terjadi antara tahun 2020—2030, dan ditunjukkan dengan adanya pergeseran khususnya pada struktur usia dalam populasi juga berdampak pada munculnya fenomena youth Not in Employment, Education or Training atau NEET. Dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan data sekunder yang berasal dari data Survei Angkatan Kerja Nasional (Sakernas) Agustus Tahun 2022 di 38 kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Metode peneltian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif melalui regresi logistik biner dengan analisis deskriptif. Melalui penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi fenomena Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEET) pada usia muda di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Dengan dengan total responden dalam kategori NEET sebanyak 12.869 orang. Setelah dilakukan regresi logistik biner, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan, usia, jenis kelamin, tempat tinggal, status pernikahan, berpengaruh secara signifikan dan Kartu Pra Kerja tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap penduduk usia muda untuk berstatus sebagai NEET. Dimana Kabupaten Bondowoso menjadi peringkat tertinggi atas penduduk usia muda berstatus NEET di Provinsi Jawa Timur yaitu sebesar 26,31%. Untuk itu pemerintah perlu meningkatkan daya saing tenaga kerja dan berfokus melalui bidang ketenagakerjaan dan pendidikan.
English Abstract
Indonesia is currently entering an era of demographic bonus that is expected to occur between 2020 and 2030, This is indicated by a shift, especially in the age structure of the population, which also has an impact on the emergence of the phenomenon of youth not in employment, education or training or NEET. This study uses secondary data derived from data from the Survei Angkatan Kerja Nasional (Sakernas) in 2022 in 38 districts and cities in East Java Province. The research method used is quantitative through binary logistic regression with descriptive analysis. This research aims to obtain information on factors that can influence the phenomenon of Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEET) at a young age in East Java Province. With a total of 12.869 respondents in the NEET category. After carrying out binary logistic regression, the results showed that education, age, gender, place of residence, and marital status had a significant effect and the Pre-Employment Card did not significantly affect young people to have NEET status. The city of Bondowoso is the highest ranking for young people of NEET status in East Java Province with 26,31%. For this reason, the government needs to increase the competitiveness of the workforce and focus on the fields of employment and education.
