Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui rasio dari kombinasi bahan pengisi manitol dan avicel pH 101 terhadap karakteristik massa cetak dan tablet ekstrak kering kulit manggis yang baik terhadap laju alir dan sudut istirahatnya. Sediaan tablet ini dibuat menggunakan metode kempa langsung dengan perbandingan manitol dan avicel pH 101, yaitu F1 (4 : 2,5), F2 (2 : 0), F3 (0 : 2) dan F4 (1 : 1). Tablet ekstrak kering kulit manggis (Garcinia mangostana L.) yang didapatkan kemudian dievaluasi sifat fisiknya meliputi kerapuhan, kekerasan dan waktu hancur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rasio konsentrasi manitol dan avicel pH 101 dapat mempengaruhi sifat alir, kekerasan, kerapuhan dan waktu hancur dari tablet ekstrak kering kulit manggis. Formula optimum yang dihasilkan, yaitu perbandingan manitol dan avicel pH 101 sebesar 4 : 2,5 (F3) dengan hasil sifat alir 1063,518 ± 35,327°, kerapuhan 2,7%, kekerasan tablet 22,144 dan waktu hancur yang dibutuhkan 15 menit.

English Abstract

The research aims to determine the ratio of a combination of mannitol and avicel pH 101 as fillers on the characteristics of the compaction and dry extract tablets of mangosteen peel with respect to its flowability and angle of repose. The tablets were prepared using the direct compression method with different ratios F1 (4 : 2,5), F2 (2 : 0), F3 (0 : 2) and F4 (1 : 1). The physical characteristics of the resulting tablets, including friability, hardness and disintegration time. The best formula is F1, which has flow properties of 1063,518 ± 35,327°, friability 2,7%, hardness 22,144 kg and disintegration time needed 15 minutes
