Abstract

Sungai Krecek merupakan anak Sungai Brantas yang berlokasi di Desa Punten, Kecamatan Bumiaji, Kota Batu. Aliran Sungai Krecek mengalir sampai bermuara di Sungai Brantas. Sungai Krecek mengalir dari hulu Sungai Brantas. Sungai Krecek terancam kelestariannya akibat aktivitas manusia yaitu pengalih fungsian lahan dari ladang menjadi area pertanian sayur, buah dan bunga. Penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida kimia dapat menyebabkan penurunan kualitas perairan sungai dan berkurangnya keanekaragaman makrozoobenthos yang hidup di Sungai Krecek. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis kelimpahan famili makrozoobenthos sebagai indikator kualitas perairan, menganalisis status mutu air yang ditinjau dari sifat fisika, kimia air. Penelitian ini digunakan sebagai sumber informasi keilmuan biomonitoring perairan sungai serta sebagai dasar pertimbangan dalam upaya pelestarian dan pengambilan kebijakan terkait pengelolaan kawasan aliran Sungai Krecek. Analisis penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Hidrobiologi dan Perikanan Air Tawar Sumber Pasir Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan, Universitas Brawijaya. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Maret 2023 (musim penghujan). Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan penelitian ini adalah metode survei dan deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel makrozoobenthos dilakukan dengan teknik kicking menggunakan jaring surber dengan ukuran mata jaring 500 μm. Data diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan indeks BMWP-ASPT dan Indeks Pencemaran. Makrozoobenthos yang didapatkan di Sungai krecek terdapat 17 family yang berasal dari 13 ordo yaitu Trichoptera, Plecoptera, Decapoda, Tricladida, Ephemeroptera, Diptera, Basommatophora, Lumbriculida, Neotaenioglossa, Megaloptera. Jumlah family makrozoobenthos terendah berada di stasiun 2 dengan jumlah 10 family dan total family makrozoobenthos tertinggi berada pada stasiun 1 yaitu 15 family. Nilai Average Score Per Taxon tertinggi berada di stasiun 1 bernilai skor 5,53 yaitu tercemar ringan, sedangkan nilai Average Score Per Taxon terendah berada di stasiun 2 bernilai 4,70 yaitu kategori tercemar sedang. Secara keseluruhan, aliran Sungai Krecek tergolong perairan sungai tercemar ringan hingga tercemar sedang. Indeks pencemaran bernilai 0.3472 - 0.6862, nilai Pij terendah sampel ke-2 di stasiun 2, dan tertinggi sampel ke-1 di stasiun 4. Nilai dari status mutu air untuk Sungai Krecek tergolong memenuhi baku mutu. Komposisi makrozoobenthos Sungai Krecek terlalu sedikit maka disarankan untuk direkomendasikan adanya pengelolaan dalam memantau kualitas air Sungai Krecek dan dilakukan pemulihan terhadap kualitas perairan agar makrozoobenthos tetap terjaga ekosistemnya.

English Abstract

The Krecek River is a tributary of the Brantas River located in Punten Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. The Krecek River flows until it empties into the Brantas River. The Krecek River flows from the headwaters of the Brantas River. The sustainability of the Krecek River is threatened due to human activities, namely the conversion of land from farm areas to vegetable, fruit and flower farming areas. The use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides can reduce the quality of river waters and reduce the diversity of macrozoobenthos that live in the Krecek River. The aim of the study was to analyze the abundance of the macrozoobenthos family as an indicator of water quality, to analyze the status of water quality in terms of the physical and chemical properties of water. This research is used as a source of scientific information on river biomonitoring and as a basis for consideration in conservation efforts and policy making related to the management of the Krecek River basin. Research analysis was carried out at the Hydrobiology Laboratory and Sand Source Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Brawijaya University. The research was carried out in March 2023 (rainy season). The methods used in conducting this research are survey and descriptive methods. Macrozoobenthos sampling was carried out by kicking technique using a surber net with a mesh size of 500 μm. The data obtained were analyzed using the BMWP-ASPT index and pollution index. Makrozoobenthos found in the Krecek River there are 17 families from 13 orders, namely Trichoptera, Plecoptera, Decapoda, Tricladida, Ephemeroptera, Diptera, Basommatophora, Lumbriculida, Neotaenioglossa, Megaloptera. The lowest number of macrozoobenthos families is at station 2 with 10 families and the highest total macrozoobenthos family is at station 1, which is 15 families. The highest Average Score Per Taxon value is at station 1 with a score of 5.53, which is lightly polluted, while the lowest Average Score Per Taxon value at station 2 is 4.70, which is in the moderate polluted category. Overall, the flow of the Krecek River is classified as lightly polluted to moderately polluted river waters. The pollution index is 0.3472 - 0.6862, the lowest Pij value of the 2nd sample at station 2, and the highest of the 1st sample at station 4. The value of water quality status for the Krecek River is classified as meeting quality standards. The composition of the Krecek River macrozoobenthos is too small, so it is recommended that management in monitoring the water quality of the Krecek River and restoring water quality so that the macrozoobenthos ecosystem is maintained.
