Abstract
Tujuan: Mengetahui perbedaan densitas sel endotel kornea dan koefisien variasi (CV) sebelum dan sesudah fakoemulsifikasi, serta mengetahui hubungan CDE dengan penurunan densitas sel endotel kornea dan CV sebelum dan sesudah fakoemulsifikasi Metode: Studi observasional kohort, melibatkan 41 mata dengan katarak senilis yang dilakukan operasi fakoemulsifkasi di Malang Eye Center, Malang, Jawa Timur selama 4bulan pada tahun 2022. Dilakukan pengambilan data densitas sel endotel dan CV dari hasil pemeriksaan spekular mikroskop saat pra operasi, 1-3 hari pasca operasi (follow up I) dan 5-8 minggu pasca operasi (follow up II). Data tersebut dibandingkan dengan data CDE durante operasi. Dilakukan analisa data dengan SPSS Hasil: Didapatkan rerata densitas sel endotel kornea pra operasi (2706± 294), follow up I (2601±404), follow up II (2507±400). Rerata CV pre operasi (31±3), follow up I (34±7), follow up II (32±5). Koefisien korelasi dari: uji korelasi CDE dengan delta densitas sel endotel pra operasi–follow up I 0.062, CDE dengan delta densitas sel endotel pra operasi–follow up II 0.296, CDE dengan delta CV pra operasi–follow up I -0.159, CDE dengan delta CV pra operasi–follow up II -0.220 seluruh nilai p dari uji korelasi adalah >0.05. Kesimpulan : Terdapat penurunan densitas sel endotel kornea dari pra operasi-follow up I-follow up II dengan perbedaan signifikan didapatkan pada pre operasi- follow up I dan pre operasi-follow up II. Terjadi peningkatan CV dari pre operasi-follow up I dengan beda signifikan. Tidak terdapat hubungan anatara CDE dengan perubahan densitasi sel endotel kornea maupun CV.
English Abstract
Objective: This study aims to identify the difference in the density of corneal endothelial cells and coefficient of variation (CV) before and after phacoemulsification, as well as to find out the relationship between CDE and the decrease in corneal endothelial cell density and CV before and after phacoemulsification. Method: This is an observational cohort study involving 41 eyes with senile cataracts that underwent phacoemulsification operation at Malang Eye Center, Malang, East Java, for 4 months in 2022. Data on the density of endothelial cells and CV from the result of specular microscope examination were obtained preoperatively, 1–3days post operation (follow up I), and 5–8weeks post operation (follow up II). These data were then compared with CDE data during operation. Data analysis was performed using SPSS. Result: Data on the average density of corneal endothelial cell density before the operation (2706±294), on follow-up I (2601±404), and on follow-up II (2507±400) were obtained. Data on the average CV before the operation (31±3), on follow up I (34±7) and on follow-up II (32±5) were also obtained. The correlation coefficients are as follows: the correlation test between CDE and delta preoperative endothelial cell density-follow up I is 0.062, CDE and delta preoperative endothelial cell density-follow up II is 0.296, CDE and delta pre-operative CV-follow up I is -0.159 and CDE and delta preoperative CV-follow up II is -0.220. All p-value of the correlation tests >0.05. Conclusion: There is a decrease in the density of corneal endothelial cells before operation, to follow-up I, then to follow-up II with a significant difference observed before the operation-follow up I and before operation-follow up II. Additionally, there is an increase in CV before operation-follow up I with a significant difference. There is no relationship between CDE and changes in corneal endothelial cell density nor CV.
