Abstract

Tumpahan minyak merupakan salah satu bahan pencemar yang apabila dianggap sepele, dapat menyebabkan masalah yang serius. Manusia memiliki peran besar terhadap penanganan apabila terjadi pencemaran terhadap tumpahan minyak yang berada di perairan. Pulau Harapan merupakan salah satu pulau yang terdapat di dalam Kepulauan Seribu yang kerap menjadi destinasi wisatawan untuk berlibur. Melimpahnya sumberdaya alam yang ada di Pulau Harapan menjadikannya nilai tambah untuk menjadi destinasi wisata. Kepulauan Seribu memiliki beberapa armada kapal untuk kebutuhan penyebrangan wisatawan maupun warga lokal untuk membeli kebutuhan sehari-hari nya. Kadang kala kapal kapal tersebut membuang bahan bakarnya (diesel) ke dalam laut. Bahan bakar tersebut yang menjadi concern pada penelitian kali ini. Permasalahan ini akan memunculkan pertanyaan bahwa akan kearah manakah tumpahan minyak tersebut. Pemodelan tumpahan minyak diperlukan untuk mengetahui pertanyaan tersebut. Pemodelan tumpahan minyak ini menggunakan software GNOME yang dapat melihat pergerakan minyak yang digerakkan oleh angin dan juga arus yang terdapat dilokasi penelitian. Peta Environtmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) juga digunakan untuk melihat kerentanan daerah daerah yang akan dipengaruhi trajectory tumpahan minyak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa trajectory dari tumpahan minyak bergerak kearah Barat Data pada Musim Barat dan juga Musim Timur dengan kecepatan angin sebesar 0,5 – 3,6 m/s (Musim Timur), dan 2,1 – 8,8 m/s (Musim Barat). Ekosistem yang memiliki kerentanan tertinggi terhadap tumpahan minyak berada pada ekosistem terumbu karang dan juga ekosistem mangrove. Daerah peneluran penyu juga menjadi masalah besar apabila terjadi bencana tumpahan minyak di daerah SPTN Wilayah II Pulau Harapan, Kepulauan Seribu.

English Abstract

Oil spills are a pollutant which, when considered trivial, can cause serious problems. Humans have a big role in handling in the event of pollution of oil spills in the waters. Harapan Island is one of the islands in the Thousand Islands which is often a tourist destination for vacations. The abundance of natural resources on Harapan Island makes it an added value to become a tourist destination. The Thousand Islands have several fleets of ships for the needs of tourists and local residents to buy their daily needs. Sometimes these ships dump their fuel (diesel) into the sea. This fuel is a concern in this research. This problem will raise the question which direction will the oil spill be. Oil spill modeling is needed to find out this question. This oil spill modeling uses GNOME software which can see the movement of oil driven by the wind and also the currents in the research location. The Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) map is also used to see the vulnerability of areas that will be affected by the oil spill trajectory. Based on the research results, it was found that the trajectory of the oil spill moved towards the West during the West Season and also the East Season with wind speeds of 0.5 - 3.6 m/s (East Season), and 2.1 - 8.8 m/s (West Season). Ecosystems that have the highest vulnerability to oil spills are coral reef ecosystems and mangrove ecosystems. Turtle nesting areas are also a big problem if an oil spill occurs in the SPTN Region II Harapan Island, Seribu Islands.
