Abstract
Ekowisata Mangrove Wonorejo merupakan salah satu ekowisata yang dibangun dengan tujuan salah satunya yaitu untuk meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis wisatawan khususnya warga Surabaya melalui program sarana maupun prasarana yang ada. Demi mewujudkan salah satu tujuan tersebut, pihak pengelola mengambil langkah dengan mengadakan kegiatan eduwisata melalui peran pemandu wisata. Melihat latar belakang tersebut penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat bagaimana peran pemandu wisata dalam meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis wisatawan di Ekowisata Mangrove Wonorejo serta penilaian wisatawan terkait dengan pelayanan yang diberikan oleh pemandu wisata. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Ekowisata Mangrove Wonorejo Kecamatan Rungkut Kota Surabaya. Jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pengambilan data berupa observasi, wawancara, kuisioner, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data pada penelitian ini yaitu data primer dimana berkaitan dengan peran pemandu, dan berkaitan dengan pengetahuan dan perubahan perilaku. Data sekunder yakni kondisi umum wilayah lokasi penelitian, sejarah ekowisata, visi misi ekowisata, dan program yang ada di Ekowisata. Penentuan responden atau sampel menggunakan teknik non-probability yaitu Purposive sampling bagi wisatawan yang masuk kriteria yakni wisatawan yang telah menyewa jasa pemandu wisata dan accidental sampling untuk wisatawan yang akan diwawancara mengenai alasan tidak menyewa jasa pemandu wisata. Peran pemandu wisata disini dibagi menjadi tiga tahap yakni peran pemandu wisata dalam To conduct to direct, setelah itu pemandu wisata akan melakukan perannya dalam hal To point out, kemudian to inform dimana diberikan penjelasan edukasi mengenai informasi dan pengetahuan (terkait mangrove, sejarah ekowisata, jenis mangrove yang ada di ekowisata, serta teknik penanaman yang benar). Tingkat kesadaran ekologis wisatawan pasca edukasi ini didapat dari indikator terkait dengan pengetahuan dan perubahan perilaku wisatawan. Tingkat kesadaran ekologis wisatawan Ekowisata Mangrove Wonorejo berada di kategori yang tinggi, dimana didapatkan skor 2,39 yang masuk dalam kategori tinggi dan dalam tahap Conscious Competence. Pelayanan yang diberikan oleh pemandu juga dinilai baik karena 90% wisatawan merasa puas dan mempengaruhi wisatawan untuk berkunjung kembali sebanyak 59%. Peran pemandu wisata dalam meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis wisatawan sudah baik dijalankan namun ada beberapa kendala. Diharapkan pada penelitian ini pengelola akan lebih giat mencari SDM untuk membantu penyediaan layanan jasa pemandu wisata dan mulai menerapkan edukasi bagi semua wisatawan yang berkunjung sehingga pelaksanaan edukasi lewat pemandu wisata tidak hanya diperuntukan bagi wisatawan yang menyewa jasa pemandu wisata saja.
English Abstract
Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism is one of the ecotourism that was built with the aim of one of which is to increase the ecological awareness of tourists, especially Surabaya residents through existing facilities and infrastructure programs. In order to realize one of these goals, the management took steps to organize educational activities through the role of a tour guide. This research was conducted to see how the role of tour guides plays a role in increasing tourist ecological awareness in the Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism as well as tourist assessments related to the services provided by tour guides. This research was conducted at Ecotourism Mangrove Wonorejo, Rungkut District, Surabaya City. This type of qualitative descriptive research uses data collection in the form of observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The source of data in this study is primary data which relates to the role of guide, and relates to knowledge and behavior change. Secondary data, namely the general condition of the research location area, history of ecotourism, vision and mission of ecotourism, and existing programs in ecotourism. Determination of respondents or samples using a non-probability purposive sampling technique for tourists who meet the criteria, namely tourists who have hired tour guide services and accidental sampling for tourists who will be interviewed regarding the reasons for not hiring tour guide services. The role of the tour guide here is divided into three stages, namely the role of the tour guide in To conduct to direct, after that the tour guide will carry out his role in terms of To point out, then to inform where educational explanations are given regarding information and knowledge (related to mangroves, history of ecotourism, species existing mangroves in ecotourism, as well as the correct planting techniques). The level of ecological awareness of post-education tourists is obtained from indicators related to knowledge and changes in tourist behavior. The level of ecological awareness of Ecotourism Mangrove Wonorejo tourists is in the high category, where a score of 2.39 is obtained which is included in the high category by entering the Conscious Competence stage. The service provided by the guide is also considered good because 90% of tourists are satisfied and it influences 59% of tourists to return. The role of tour guides in increasing tourist ecological awareness has been well implemented but there are several obstacles. It is hoped that in this study managers will be more active in seeking human resources to help provide tour guide services and start implementing education for all visiting tourists so that the implementation of education through tour guides is not only intended for tourists who hire tour guide services.
