Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kecerda|sa|n intelektua|l ha|nya| menyumba|ng sekita|r 20% da|la|m keberha|sila|n sua|tu individu, sisa|nya| 80% kecer|da|sa|n emosiona|l mempenga|ruhi kesuksesan seseora|ng. Kecerdasan sendiri dapat ditanam sejak masa anak prasekolah. Pada masa ini, anak cenderung meniru apa yang dilakukan oleh lingkungan sekitarnya terutama orang tua. Sebanyak 10% fa|ktor |keluarga dapat memengaruhi kecerdasan anak, salah satunya pola asuh|. Pola asuh terdiri dari tiga macam yaitu demokratis, otoriter, permisif. Sekitar 85% orang tua di Indonesia mengasuh anaknya dengan pola asuh demokratis namun perlu diketahui bahwa masih ada pola asuh lainnya yang perlu diteliti yaitu pola asuh permisif dan pola asuh otoriter. Tujuan Penelitian: untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan Intelligence Quotient dan Emotional Quotient. Metode penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik korelasi dengan pendekatan cross-sectional dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi Square. Penelitian ini menggunakan jumlah sampel sebanyak 93 orang tua dan anak di lima (5) Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK) Di Kecamatan Simokerto, Kota Surabaya pada Bulan April 2023. Hasil Penelitian: hasil analisis menyatakan hasil yang tidak signifikan antara hubungan pola asuh terhadap kecerdasan emosional dengan nilai p value 0,131 > 0,05, dan pola asuh dengan kecerdasan intelektual p value 0,573 >0,05. Kesimpulan: tidak adanya hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua terhadap kecerdasan emosional dan kecerdasan intelektual anak prasekolah di lima (5) TK di Kecamatan Simokerto, Kota Surabaya

English Abstract

Background: Intellectual intelligence only contributes about 20% of an individual's success, the remaining 80% of emotional intelligence affects a person's success. Intelligence itself can be planted since preschool childhood. At this time, children tend to imitate what is done by their surroundings, especially their parents. As much as 10% of family factors can affect children's intelligence, one of which is parenting. Parenting consists of three kinds, namely democratic, authoritarian, permissive. Approximately 85% of parents in Indonesia raise their children with democratic parenting, but it should be noted that there are still other parenting styles that need to be studied, namely permissive parenting and authoritarian parenting.. Purpose of the research: to determine the relationship between parenting style to intelligence quotient and emotional quotient. Method of the research: This study used an analytic corellation design with a cross-sectional approach and was analyzed using the Chi Square test. This study used a total sample of 93 parents and children in five (5) Kindergartens (TK) in Simokerto District, Surabaya City in April 2023. Result of the research: the results of the analysis stated that the results were not significant between the relationship between parenting style and emotional intelligence with a p value of 0.131 > 0.05, and parenting style with intellectual intelligence p value 0.573 > 0.05. Conclusion: there is no relationship between parenting style and emotional intelligence of pre- school children in five (5) Kindergartens in Simokerto District, Surabaya City.
