Abstract

Tujuan utama dari suatu perusahaan terbentuk adalah untuk memperoleh laba dari kegiatan operasionalnya. Laba perusahaan ini dapat dilihat melalui profitabilitas perusahaan. Jumlah aset perusahaan sektor konsumen primer mengalami kenaikan sebesar 12% akan tetapi rofitabilitas perusahaan sektor konsumen primer menunjukkan mengalami penurunan di tahun 2020 sebesar 2%. Di sisi lain hasil penelitian terdahulu menyatakan semakin tinggi aset maka diindikasikan semakin tinggi juga laba perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel Current Ratio, Total Asset Turnover, dan Return on Asset terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan Return on Asset. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan sektor barang konsumen primer yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dan pengambilan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian yang sesuai dengan kriteria sebangayk 43 perusahaan sektor barang konsumen primer yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2019 – 2021. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis Regresi Linear Berganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa melalui uji hipotesis menggunakan uji F dapat diketahui bahwa current ratio, total asset turnover, dan debt to equity ratio berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap return on asset. Hasil dari uji Hipotesis dengan menggunakan Uji t diperoleh hasil yaitu: 1) Current Ratio secara parsial berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap Return on Asset perusahaan sektor barang konsumen primer. 2) Total Asset Turnover berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Return on Asset perusahaan sektor barang konsumen primer. 3) Debt to Equity Ratio berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap Return on Asset perusahaan sektor barang konsumen primer. Dari ketiga variabel tersebut yang memiliki pengaruh terbesar yaitu debt to equity ratio.

English Abstract

The main purpose of a company's formation is to earn profits from its operational activities. The company's profit can be seen through its profitability. The total assets of primary consumer sector companies have increased by 12%, but the profitability of primary consumer sector companies has decreased by 2% in 2020. On the other hand, the results of previous studies stated that the higher the assets, the higher the company's profit. This study aims to determine the effect of the variables Current Ratio, Total Asset Turnover, and Return on Assets on company profitability. The population in this study is comprised of primary consumer goods sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling, and data collection was done with documentation. The research sample matches the criteria of 43 companies in the primary consumer goods sector that are listed on the IDX in 2019–2021. The data analysis used in this study uses Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that through hypothesis testing using the F test, it can be seen that the current ratio, total asset turnover, and debt-to-equity ratio simultaneously influence the return on assets. The results of the hypothesis test using the t test obtained the following results: 1) The current ratio partially has no significant effect on the Return on Assets of companies in the primary consumer goods sector. 2) Total Asset Turnover has a significant positive effect on the Return on Assets of companies in the primary consumer goods sector. 3) The debt-to ratio has a significant negative effect on the Return on Assets of companies in the primary consumer goods sector.
