Abstract

English Abstract

Computer Vision Syndrome is a syndrome characterized by symptoms such as red eyes, dry eyes, blurry eyes, headaches, and double vision. Although often experienced by many, this eye syndrome is still often overlooked. During the Covid-19 pandemic, restrictions on mobilization and community activities caused online activities such as working from home and studying from home. These activities can increase the use of the internet and computers/laptops, thus becoming one of the main factors for increasing the risk of developing Computer Vision Syndrome. Covis Pro Headband is an integrated headband with sensors that has the ability to prevent the risk of Computer Vision Syndrome by increasing the discipline of computer users to avoid factors that cause Computer Vision Syndrome through sound warnings. One of the parameters for preventing Computer Vision Syndrome in the headband is detecting head position through the MPU-6050 gyroscope sensor. The Covis Pro Headband prototype was achieved through the steps of literature study, planning, design, manufacture, and assembly of tools, as well as evaluation of the success of the tools. The test results showed that the accuracy of the MPU-6050 gyroscope sensor was 91%, while the tool's functionality showed that all components functioned properly. Therefore the Covis Pro Headband has the potential to be a prototype for preventing Computer Vision Syndrome in the online era.
