Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Background: Chronic Energy Deficiency (CHD) is an occurrence of malnutrition or inadequate nutritional needs of a person. The cause of SEZ is prolonged energy and protein deficiency. The impact of SEZ is anemia, less optimal organ development, stunted physical growth. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016, the prevalence of adolescents who have underweight status is 48.2%, while data on adolescents who are nutritionally deficient reached 45.7%. According to Indonesia Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data in 2018, 36.3% (cases of SEZ in adolescents aged 15-19). Objective: To determine the effectiveness of counseling media between videos and posters on increasing the knowledge of female students of SMKN 1 Sooko Mojokerto. Methods: This research was designed with a queasy experimental and pretest-posttest control group design. The number of respondents in this study was 45 students, included by 22 students in the video group and 23 students in the poster group. This study used to purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test, Mann-Whitney test, and N-Gain test. Results: The Wilcoxon test that counseling video media and poster show that there is a significant difference in pre-test and post-test (p=0.001 ; p=0.000). The Mann-Whitney test states a p-value of 0.002 (p < 0.05), means that there is a significant difference between the results of the pre and post-test. Coupled with the N-Gain test by compared with the average N-Gain value in the poster media group which is 0.39 and video media which is 0.22, the poster media group achieved a superior value. Conclusion: Nutrition education counseling for adolescent girls using poster media proved to be more effective in increasing adolescent girls' knowledge than using video media
