Abstract

Latar Belakang: Labu kuning (Curcubita moschata) merupakan tanaman mengandung berbagai zat gizi serta senyawa galactagogue pada biji labu kuning (Curcubita moschata) dapat meningkatkan kadar prolaktin 6 kali lipat. Produksi ASI yang kurang dapat diatasi dengan pemberian nutrisi tambahan seperti mengkonsumsi sayur dan buah dengan pemberian Labu kuning (Curcubita moschata). Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh pemberian puding labu kuning (Curcubita moschata) pada ibu yang menyusui eksklusif terhadap peningkatan berat badan bayi 0-3 bulan. Metode: Penelitian ini terdapat 30 responden terbagi 2 kelompok yakni 15 responden pemberian puding labu kuning (Curcubita moschata) dan 15 responden pemberian puding susu pada ibu menyusui terhadap peningkatan berat badan bayi 0-3 bulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Experiment pre-test dan post-test design. Sampel yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Paired T-Test. Hasil penelitian pemberian puding labu kuning (Curcubita moschata) terhadap peningkatan berat badan bayi menunjukan signifikan p-value 0,000 (<0,05) terdapat pengaruh dengan kenaikan rata-rata berat badan 628 gram sedangkan pemberian puding susu tidak terdapat pengaruh peningkatan berat badan bayi menunjukan signifikan p-value 0,118 (>0.05) dengan kenaikan rata-rata berat badan 140 gram. Kesimpulan: puding labu kuning (Curcubita moschata) dapat meningkatan berat badan bayi 0-3 bulan.

English Abstract

Background: Pumpkin (Curcubita moschata) is a plant that contains various nutrients and galactagogue compounds in pumpkin seeds (Curcubita moschata) can increase prolactin levels 6 times. Insufficient milk production can be overcome by providing additional nutrition such as consuming vegetables and fruit by giving pumpkin (Curcubita moschata). Objective: Knowing the effect of pumpkin pudding (Curcubita moschata) to mothers exclusive breastfeeding on increasing the weight of babies 0-3 months. Methods: In this study there were 30 respondents who were divided into 2 groups, namely 15 respondents given pumpkin pudding (Curcubita moschata) and 15 respondents given milk pudding to breastfeeding mothers on increasing baby weight 0-3 months. This type of research uses a Quasi Experiment design pre-test and post-test design. Samples were selected based on criteria. Results and Discussion: Bivariate analysis using the Paired T-Test. The results given pumpkin pudding (Curcubita moschata) has an influence baby weight showed obtained p-value of 0.000 (<0.05) there was an effect with an average weight gain of 628 grams while giving milk pudding had no effect on increasing baby weight. obtained p-value of 0.118 (> 0.05) with an average increase in body weight of 140 grams. Conclusion: pumpkin pudding (Curcubita moschata) can increase baby's weight 0-3 months.
