Abstract

Hotel yang menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini adalah sebuah akomodasi berkelas tinggi di pusat kota, dengan desain arsitektur elegan dan modern. Pelayanan ramah dan profesional, namun hotel ini masih menghadapi tantangan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pemesanan tamu. Perkembangan teknologi yang cukup pesat menjadikannya sebuah salah satu sarana yang wajib dimiliki pada zaman sekarang. Salah satunya yaitu Sistem Informasi Hotel yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap hotel untuk menunjang segala aktivitas yang berkaitan dengan manajemen sebuah hotel. Hotel sendiri belum memiliki sebuah website pemesanan yang dikelola sendiri. Maka dari itu dibangunlah sebuah sistem informasi manajemen hotel yang menyediakan beberapa fitur berupa reservasi kamar hotel hingga menyediakan beberapa informasi yang akan dapat digunakan oleh pelanggan sebagai salah satu sarana untuk mengakses segala informasi terkait hotel. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah metode Waterfall yang memiliki urutan proses Requirements Analysis, System Design, Implementation, Testing menggunakan Black Box Testing, lalu Maintenance. Dalam pengembangan sistem ini menggunakan Bahasa pemrograman HTML, CSS, PHP dengan bantuan framework Laravel dan dibantu database RDBMS MySQL. Sistem ini diharapkan untuk dapat menciptakan kepuasan pelanggan dan terjadi peningkatan pelayanan yang lebih baik di masa yang akan datang.

English Abstract

The hotel which is the background of this research is a high-class accommodation in the city center, with an elegant and modern architectural design. Service is friendly and professional, but the hotel still faces challenges in leveraging technology to enhance the guest booking experience. The rapid development of technology has made it a must-have facility today. One of them is a Hotel Information System that every hotel must have to support all activities related to the management of a hotel. Hotel itself does not yet have a self-managed booking website. Therefore, a management information system for hotel was built which provides several features, from hotel room reservations to providing some information that customers can use as a means to access all information related to hotel. The development method used is the Waterfall method which has a process sequence of Requirements Analysis, System Design, Implementation, Testing using Black Box Testing, then Maintenance. In developing this system using the PHP programming language with the help of the Laravel framework and assisted by the MySQL RDBMS database. This system is expected to be able to create customer satisfaction and an increase in better service in the future.
