Abstract
Latar Belakang: Pemberian makan pada balita merupakan salah satu bentuk pola asuh yang paling mendasar karena memegang peranan penting terhadap tumbuh kembang anak. Pada tahun 2020 tercatat bahwa balita usia 0-59 bulan dengan gizi kurang di Indonesia sebanyak 6,7%. Salah satu hal yang berkorelasi dengan gizi balita adalah tingkat pengetahuan ibu. Ketidakmampuan orang tua untuk memberi makan dapat mengakibatkan masalah makan. Hal itu dapat dicegah dengan pemberian makan yang sesuai dengan menerapkan feeding rules. Diharapkan dengan penerapan feeding rules, laju pertumbuhan anak menjadi lebih baik. Edukasi kesehatan diperlukan dalam hal ini. Metode tatap muka adalah metode yang paling sering digunakan dalam pemberian pendidikan kesehatan, namun karena perkembangan zaman, masyarakat lebih memanfaatkan media sosial untuk membantu promosi kesehatan. Tujuan: Menganalisa perbedaan pengaruh penyuluhan melalui whatsapp group dan penyuluhan secara langsung terhadap tingkat pengetahuan ibu terkait feeding rules pada balita di posyandu Desa Wadung, Kecamatan Soko, Kabupaten Tuban. Metode: Desain penelitian menggunakan quasy experimental study yang memiliki rancangan two group pre-test post-test. Jumlah total sampel 50, diambil secara purposive sampling sesuai kriteria inklusi dan esklusi. Hasil: Berdasarkan uji komparatif Mann Whitney pada hasil pre test kedua metode didapatkan p=0,172 sedangkan pada post test didapatkan p=0,042. Kesimpulan: Penyuluhan secara langsung membuahkan hasil yang lebih baik terhadap kenaikan tingkat pengetahuan ibu terkait feeding rules pada anak balita di posyandu Desa Wadung Kecamatan Soko Kabupaten Tuban daripada penyuluhan melalui grup whatsapp.
English Abstract
Background: Feeding toddlers is one of the most basic forms of parenting because it plays an important role in the growth and development of children. In 2020, it was recorded that under-nourished children aged 0-59 months in Indonesia were 6.7%. One of the things that correlates with toddler nutrition is the level of mother's knowledge. The inability of parents to feed can result in feeding problems. This can be prevented by proper feeding by applying feeding rules. It is hoped that by implementing feeding rules, the child's growth rate will be better. Health education is needed in this case. The face-to-face method is the method most often used in providing health education, but due to the times, people are more utilizing social media to help promote health. Purpose: To analyze the differences in the effect of counseling through whatsapp groups and direct counseling on the level of mother's knowledge regarding feeding rules for toddlers in Posyandu Wadung Village, Soko District, Tuban Regency. Methods: The research design used a quasy experimental study which had a two group pre-test post-test design. The total number of samples is 50, taken by purposive sampling according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Based on the Mann Whitney comparative test on the pre-test results of the two methods, p = 0.172, while in the post-test, p = 0.042. Conclusion: Direct counseling produced better results in increasing the level of mother's knowledge regarding feeding rules for children under five at Posyandu Wadung Village, Soko District, Tuban Regency than counseling via whatsapp group
