Abstract

Perusahaan yang didirikan memiliki tujuan untuk memperoleh keuntungan yang tinggi bagi pemilik perusahaan maupun pemegang saham. Salah satu cara untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut yaitu dengan meningkatkan nilai perusahaan. Nilai perusahaan yang tinggi menjadikan investor tertarik untuk melakukan penanaman modal pada perusahaan tersebut. Setiap perusahaan akan membutuhkan modal untuk pembiayaan keberlangsungan usahanya. Perusahaan dengan struktur modal yang optimal akan menarik minat para pemberi dana atau investor sehingga dapat meningkatkan nilai perusahaan. Keputusan struktur modal dapat digunakan untuk perencanaan dalam memperoleh modal sebagai sumber dana suatu perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel mikro ekonomi yaitu ukuran perusahaan, profitabilitas, pertumbuhan penjualan, risiko bisnis, penghematan pajak, struktur aktiva, umur perusahaan, likuiditas, dan kebijakan dividen terhadap struktur modal dan nilai perusahaan pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2016-2018. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian explanatory research dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pemilihan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dengan kriteria yang ditentukan dan diperoleh 54 sampel dari 143 populasi seluruh perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2016-2018. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan metode Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan aplikasi SmartPLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh variabel mikro ekonomi terhadap struktur modal positif namun tidak signifikan. Variabel mikro ekonomi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Struktur modal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Variabel mikro ekonomi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan melalui struktur modal.

English Abstract

The company that have a goal of obtaining high profit for owners of the company and shareholder. One way to achieve this goal is by increasing the value of company. The company with high value makes investor interested to invest. Every company will need capital to fund it’s business continuity. The Company with optimal capital structure will attract the interest of lenders or investors so it can increasing the value of company. Capital structure decision can be used for planning to obtain capital as a source of fund for the company. This research aims to determine the effect of microeconomics variables, namely company size, profitability, sales growth, business risk, tax saving, asset structure, company age, liquidity, and dividend policy on the capital structure and company value in manufacturing companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period of 2016-2018. This type of research used is an explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The sample selection for this research used purposive sampling with specified criteria and obtained 54 samples from 143 populations of all manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period of 2016-201. The data analysis technique of this study used the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with the SmartPLS 3.0 application. The results of this study indicate that the effect of microeconomics variables on capital structure was positive but not significant. Microeconomics variables have a positive and significant on the company value. Capital structure has a positive and significant on the company value. Microeconomics variables have a positive and significant on the company value through capital structure.
