Abstract

Setahun setelah peresmiannya pada tahun 2017, Skywalk Cihampelas Bandung yang berfungsi sebagai relokasi PKL mulai ditinggalkan PKL akibat sepi pengunjung. Hal tersebut juga ditambah degradasi lingkungan fisik pada Skywalk yang menjadi salah satu faktor sebab pengunjung enggan mendatangi Skywalk . Sebagai salah satu ruang publik tentu Skywalk Cihampelas seharusnya berorientasi pada kenyamanan pelaku aktivitas yaitu pedestrian. walkability merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang bertujuan menjadikan sebuah kawasan yang ramah dengan pejalan kaki. Beberapa indikator walkability seperti aksesibilitas, estetika, peneduh telah menjadi isu yang terdapat pada Skywalk Cihampelas. Dari pertimbangan terkait dengan turunnya produktivitas kawasan dan degradasi kualitas fisik fasilitas maka perlu adanya revitalisasi pada Skywalk Cihampelas sehingga nantinya akan menghasilkan desain kawasan pada Skywalk Cihampelas sebagai ruang publik serta wadah bagi PKL yang juga mempertimbangkan kriteria dari walkability. Dalam upaya merevitalisasi kawasan Skywalk Cihampelas yang mempertimbangkan kriteria walkability, digunakan metode synoptic design dengan permulaan tahap analisis dimana tahap tersebut menganalisis aspek desain seperti tata guna lahan, bentuk dan massa bangunan, ruang terbuka, tempat parkir, sirkulasi, penanda, dan aktivitas pendukung. Lalu aspek desain dikaitkan dengan pendekatan walkability yang mengacu dari kriteria Institute for Transportation and Development Policy yaitu kriteria passable, accessible, safe, convenient, comfortable, dan enjoyable. Dalam tahap analisis, skywalk terbagi menjadi tiga segmen, segmen yang terdiri dari beberapa teras tersebut dibagi menyesuaikan dengan kesanggupan jarak pejalan kaki. Hasil analisis tersebut menghasilkan sintesis konsep desain yang telah mempertimbangkan kriteria walkability yang telah ditentukan. Sintesis konsep desain lalu diterjemahkan dalam proses perancangannya hingga menghasilkan wujud desain Skywalk Cihampelas Bandung yang dapat memenuhi kriteria walkability. Pembagian tiga segmen sebelumnya berpengaruh kepada fungsi tiap teras pada hasil desain. Pada segmen 1, teras difungsikan sebagai jalur pedestrian, pada segmen 2 sebagai wadah hiburan dengan adanya teras khusus PKL dan segmen 3 sebagai wadah hiburan seperti segmen 2 yang ditambahkan elemen ruang terbuka hijau seperti vertical garden. Setiap segmen pada Skywalk Cihampelas mempertimbangkan kriteria walkability pada tiap terasnya.

English Abstract

A year after its inauguration in 2017, the Cihampelas Bandung Skywalk , which functions as a street vendor relocation, has begun to be abandoned by street vendors due to a lack of visitors. This is also added to the degradation of the skywalk 's physical environment, which is one reason why visitors are reluctant to come to the skywalk . As one of the public spaces, the Cihampelas Skywalk should be oriented towards the convenience of activity actors, namely pedestrians. walkability is one approach that aims to make an area friendly to pedestrians. Several walkability indicators such as accessibility, aesthetics, and shading have become issues in the Cihampelas Skywalk . From considerations related to the declining productivity of the area and the degradation of the physical quality of the facilities, it is necessary to revitalize the Cihampelas Skywalk so that later it will produce an area design on the Cihampelas Skywalk as a public space and a place for street vendors who also consider walkability criteria. In an effort to revitalize the Cihampelas Skywalk area that considers walkability criteria, the synoptic design method is used with the beginning of the analysis stage where the stage analyzes design aspects such as land use, building form and mass, open space, parking, circulation, signage, and supporting activities. Then the design aspects are associated with a walkability approach that refers to the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy criteria, namely passable, accessible, safe, convenient, comfortable, and enjoyable criteria. In the analysis stage, the skywalk is divided into three segments, segments consisting of several terraces are divided according to the ability of pedestrian distance. The results of the analysis resulted in a synthesis of design concepts that have considered the predetermined walkability criteria. The synthesis of the design concept is then translated into the design process to produce a design form of Skywalk Cihampelas Bandung that can meet the criteria of walkability. The division of the previous three segments affects the function of each terrace in the design results. In the first segment, the terrace functioned as a pedestrian path, in the second segment as an entertainment venue with a special street vendor terrace and the third segment as an entertainment venue like the second segment which added green open space elements such as vertical gardens. Each segment of the Cihampelas Skywalk considers walkability criteria on each terrace..
