Abstract

Sejak munculnya wabah Covid-19, gerakan literasi tidak berjalan sesuai pada alurnya karena pemerintah melakukan PPKM yang harus dipatuhi setiap lapisan masyarakat. Hal ini memberikan pergeseran sistem pendidikan di Indonesia. Yaitu pembelajaran dialihkan pada pembelajaran daring (dalam jaringan) sehingga pembelajaran tidak maksimal. Sebagian besar siswa di Indonesia mengalami keterlambatan dalam membaca salah satunya ialah SDN Cisereh 02 yang terletak di Kabupaten Tangerang. Namun, penggunaan digital library aplikasi Let’s Read dapat memberikan solusi pada keterlambatan membaca siswa. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan serta dampak aplikasi Let’s Read sebagai penunjang kegiatan literasi siswa kelas 5 SDN Cisereh 02 pascapandemi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipasi, wawancara, tes dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan aplikasi Let’s Read memiliki visualisasi unik sehingga membuat siswa lebih antusias dalam membaca dan memahami isi cerita dan dapat menceritakan kembali melalui lisan maupun tulisan. Siswa SDN Cisereh 02 berada pada tahap membaca confirmation and fluency, dan reading for learning the new tetapi sebagian siswa yang tertinggal berada pada tahap initial reading and decoding.

English Abstract

Since the emergence of the Covid-19 outbreak, the literacy movement has not gone according to plan because the government has carried out PPKM which must be obeyed by all levels of society. This provides a shift in the education system in Indonesia. That is learning is diverted to online learning (in the network) so that learning is not optimal. Most students in Indonesia experience delays in reading, one of which is SDN Cisereh 02 which is located in Tangerang Regency. However, the use of the Let's Read digital library application can provide a solution to student reading delays. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims to describe the application and impact of the Let's Read application as a support for literacy activities for 5th grade students at SDN Cisereh 02 after the pandemic. This study uses a case study method with a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through participatory observation, interviews, tests and questionnaires. The results of the study show that the application of the Let's Read application has a unique visualization that makes students more enthusiastic in reading and understanding the contents of the story and can retell it orally or in writing. Students at SDN Cisereh 02 are at the stage of reading confirmation and fluency, and reading for learning the new, but some students who are lagging behind are at the stage of initial reading and decoding.
