Abstract
Coworking space yang juga dikenal sebagai ruang kerja bersama mulai menjadi tren di berbagai negara termasuk Indonesia, terutama di kota-kota besar. Kota Surabaya sebagai satu kota di Indonesia dengan pertumbuhan industri kreatif yang semakin berkembang menjadi salah satu faktor pertumbuhan coworking space di kota tersebut. Karakteristik penting bagi pengguna coworking space diantaranya adalah aspek ruang dan desain dari coworking space sebagai ruang yang mewadahi kegiatan tersebut. Namun, banyak juga coworking space yang belum memaksimalkan desain interiornya untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan pengguna akan lingkungan kerja yang inspiratif untuk bekerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tiga coworking space di Kota Surabaya yaitu Satu Atap Coworking Place and Food Station, VISMA Cof ee, Art & Coworking Space, dan SUB Co Tierra. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan terhadap lima unit amatan pada ketiga objek coworking space, didapatkan hasil bahwa kombinasi penerapan elemen interior pada Satu Atap menghasilkan suasana ruang yang ceria dan menggugah semangat, Visma memiliki suasana ruang yang hangat dan dinamis. Keduanya mencerminkan identitas coworking space sebagai ruang yang inspiratif. SUB Co yang mengusung konsep minimalis memiliki suasana ruang yang lebih tenang dan lega namun kurang memunculkan nilai kreativitas. Suasana ruang pada masing-masing coworking space telah berupaya untuk menunjang aktivitas penggunanya sesuai dengan nilai-nilai coworking space
English Abstract
Coworking space, also known as coworking space, is starting to become a trend in various countries including Indonesia, especially in big cities. Surabaya as a city in Indonesia with the growth of the creative industry is growing to be one of the factors for the growth of coworking space in the city. Important characteristics for coworking space users include aspects of space and design of coworking space as a space that accommodates these activities. However, there are also many coworking spaces that have not maximized their interior design to accommodate the needs of users for an inspiring work environment to work. This research was conducted on three coworking spaces in Surabaya City, namely Satu Atap Coworking Place and Food Station, VISMA Cof ee, Art & Coworking Space, and SUB Co Tierra. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques using observation and documentation. Based on the results of the analysis on five observation units on the three coworking space objects, it was found that the combination of the application of interior elements under Satu Atap produces a cheerful and uplifting space atmosphere, Visma has a warm and dynamic room atmosphere. Both reflect the identity of coworking space as an inspiring space. SUB Co which has a minimalist concept has a calmer and more spacious room atmosphere but does not bring out the creativity value. The atmosphere of the space in each coworking space has tried to support the activities of its users in accordance with the values of coworking space The dif erence in the atmosphere of the space formed can be chosen according to the needs and preferences of each
