Abstract
English Abstract
Coffee plant (Coffea spp.) is one of the most popular plantation commodities. Coffee plants have high economic value. Coffee plants can grow in subtropical and tropical regions. Coffee plants that grow in Wajak District have a sandy soil texture which results in low nutrient availability in the soil. One solution that can be done is the application of biopori infiltration holes with the addition of goat manure and agricultural lime. The application of biopore infiltration holes is expected to improve soil chemical properties. Research activities were carried out from June 2022 to February 2023 located in Codo Village, Bambang Village and Sumberputih Village, Wajak District, Malang Regency. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) which consisted of five treatments and five replications. Soil sampling was carried out 2 months after application and 8 months after application. Parameters observed were CEC, soil Kdd, leaf K-content, C-organic, soil pH and leaf K-content tested at the Soil Chemistry Laboratory, Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya. The data that has been analyzed will be analyzed by ANOVA and DMRT follow-up test at 5% level. After that, correlation tests, simple and multiple linear regression tests were carried out. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that LRB treatment with the addition of 10 tons/ha of goat manure and 4.9 tons/ha of agricultural lime can increase soil cation exchange capacity (CEC) by 22% and soil Kdd by 49.23% in soil at a depth of 0-20 cm, 20-40 cm and 40-60 cm compared to the control treatment. Treatment of 10 tons/ha of goat manure and 4.9 tons/ha of agricultural lime added to the LRB increased coffee production by 44.79% compared to the control treatment. Based on the results of multiple linear regression tests, a significant relationship was found between plant production (Y) and soil Kdd at a depth of 0-20 cm (X1), soil Kdd at a depth of 40-60 cm (X2), leaf K-content (X3) and chlorophyll leaves (X4). The equation of the regression test results obtained is, Y = -3357.70 + 387.19 X1 + 267.53 X2 + 1114.84 X3 + 5.78 X4; R2: 69%; Significance F : 0.0004. Based on this, it can be seen that the application of biopori infiltration holes with the addition of goat manure and lime can improve soil chemical properties, especially increasing the availability of CEC and soil Kdd, thereby affecting coffee production.
