Abstract
Psoriasis merupakan penyakit autoimun kronis yang menyerang kulit ditandai oleh plak meradang, warna merah, dan makula. Prevalensi psoriasis di berbagai negara menurut World Health Organization terus mengalami peningkatan. Pasien psoriasis memiliki pandangan bahwa penampilannya menjadi buruk akibat dari tanda dan gejala yang terdapat pada kulit pasien. Media edukasi video melalui youtube yang ditonton selama empat kali tentang manajemen perawatan diri dapat memperbaiki persepsi citra tubuh pasien psoriasis. Pemberian media edukasi manajemen perawatan diri yang disertai follow up intensif via aplikasi Whatsapp efektif dalam meningkatkan manajemen perawatan diri pasien psoriasis. Tujuan penelitian untuk melihat pengaruh media video edukasi manajemen perawatan diri terhadap persepsi citra tubuh pasien psorisis. Metode penelitian menggunakan one group pre test - post test design dimana penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memberikan tes awal (pre test) sebelum diberikan perlakuan dan setelah diberikan perlakuan dilakukan tes akhir (post test) menggunakan kuesioner The Body Image Questionnaire pada sebanyak 30 respoden penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon yang didapatkan hasil P value 0,000 < 0,05. Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari pemberian media edukasi manajemen perawatan diri melalui follow up intensif via aplikasi Whatsapp terhadap persepsi citra tubuh pasien psoriasis. Adanya kenaikan pada nilai hasil rata-rata pre test ke post test. Hal ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai rujukan dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan pasien psoriasis untuk meningkatkan persepsi citra tubuh.
English Abstract
Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune disease that attacks the skin characterized by inflamed plaques, redness, and macules. According to the World Health Organization, the prevalence of psoriasis in various countries continues to increase. Psoriasis patients have the view that their appearance becomes worse as a result of the signs and symptoms found on the patient's skin. Video educational media via YouTube which was watched four times about self-care management can improve body image perceptions of psoriasis patients. Providing self-care management educational media accompanied by intensive follow-up via the Whatsapp application is effective in improving self-care management of psoriasis patients. The aim of the study was to see the effect of self-care management educational video media on body image perceptions of psoriasis patients. The research method used a one group pre test - post test design where this research was conducted by giving an initial test (pre test) before being given treatment and after being given treatment a final test (post test) was carried out using the The Body Image Questionnaire questionnaire to as many as 30 research respondents. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test which obtained a P value of 0.000 < 0.05. There is a significant effect of providing self-care management educational media through intensive follow-up via the Whatsapp application on body image perceptions of psoriasis patients. There is an increase in the average pre-test to post-test results. It is hoped that this can be used as a reference in providing nursing care for psoriasis patients to improve body image perception.
