Abstract
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di PT Kalingga Jaya yang merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang percetakan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada produk dus packaging yang diproduksi untuk PT XYZ. Berdasarkan data historis dari bulan Januari – September 2022, masih terdapat banyak defect yang dihasilkan oleh PT Kalingga Jaya Prima sehingga menyebabkan reject. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya tindakan perbaikan sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas dan dapat mengurangi defect yang terjadi. Siklus DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi defect produk yang terjadi, menghitung nilai DPMO, level sigma dan kapabilitas, serta menganalisis penyebab defect produk yang terjadi sehingga memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan untuk mengurangi defect produk. Pada penelitian ini, tahap define dilakukan dengan membuat mengidentifikasi CTQ dan jenis defect. Pada tahap measure dilakukan pembuatan peta kendali p, perhitungan nilai DPMO, level sigma, kapabilitas proses, dan pembuatan diagram pareto. Berdasarkan data jumlah defect pada bulan Oktober 2022, diperoleh DPMO sebesar 5.328 dan level sigma sebesar 4,053. Selain itu, berdasarkan analisis dari diagram pareto 80 % jenis defect yang paling sering terjadi adalah defect warna variatif, bercak, mutiara, bergaris, laminating rusak, dan poly grepes. Pada tahap analyze, keenam jenis defect tersebut dilakukan analisis faktor-faktor penyebabnya menggunakan fishbone diagram yang nantinya digunakan untuk menghitung nilai RPN pada metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Kemudian, diambil tiga prioritas permasalahan dengan nilai RPN yang masuk ke dalam kategori risiko very high. Di tahap improve diberikan usulan perbaikan dengan membuat rencana penerapan incoming check kertas dan tinta untuk mengatasi permasalahan kualitas material dari supplier yang kurang baik sehingga dapat mengurangi defect mutiara dan warna. Selain itu, dibuat SOP dan checklist mesin potong kertas untuk melakukan pengecekan pra produksi pada pisau sehingga dapat mengurangi defect mutiara.
English Abstract
This research was conducted at PT Kalingga Jaya which is a company engaged in the printing sector. This research focuses on box packaging products produced for PT XYZ. Based on historical data from January to September 2022, there are still many defects produced by PT Kalingga Jaya Prima, causing rejection. Therefore, there is a need for corrective action as an effort to improve quality and reduce defects that occur. The DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) cycle is used to identify product defects that occur, calculate DPMO values, sigma and capability levels, and analyze the causes of product defects that occur so as to provide recommendations for improvements to reduce product defects. In this study, the define stage was carried out by identifying the CTQ and the type of defect. In the measure stage, the p control chart is made, the DPMO value is calculated, the sigma level, process capability, and the pareto diagram is made. Based on data on the number of defects in October 2022, a DPMO of 5,328 was obtained and a sigma level of 4,053. In addition, based on an analysis of the pareto chart, 80% of the most common types of defects are defects of various colors, spots, white spots, stripes, broken laminating, and poly grepes. In the analyze stage, the six types of defects are analyzed for their causal factors using a fishbone diagram which will later be used to calculate the RPN value in the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. Then, three priority issues are taken with RPN values that fall into the very high risk category. In the improve stage, suggestions for improvements are made by planning the implementation of paper and ink incoming checks to overcome material quality problems from suppliers who are not good enough so as to reduce white spots and color defects. In addition, SOP and paper-cutting machine checklists were made to carry out pre-production checks on the blades so as to reduce white spots defects.
