Abstract
Kucing sebagai hewan peliharaan mempunyai banyak gangguan kesehatan yang dapat terjadi, salah satunya pada mata. Penyakit mata pada hewan bervariasi, salah satunya adalah prolaps, prolaps dapat terjadi baik dikarenakan trauma pada mata saat berkelahi terkena benda tajam, dan lain sebagainya. Prolaps adalah keadaan bulbus oculi atau bola mata menonjol keluar. Penanganan kasus prolaps bulbus oculi adalah dengan enukleasi. Enukleasi adalah operasi pengangkatan bola mata. Kasus prolaps bulbus oculi terjadi pada kucing domestik berumur 3 tahun, jenis kelamin betina, berat badan 3,7 kg. Kucing tersebut dibawa dengan keluhan terdapat luka pada mata sebelah kiri dan tidak diketahui penyebabnya karena kucing sudah tidak pulang 5 hari lalu. Tujuan penulisan studi kasus untuk mengetahui tahap pre-opreasi, operasi dan post-operasi enukleasi sebagai penanganan prolaps. Penganganan yang dilakukan adalah tindakan enukleasi dengan pendekatan transpalpabrae. Tahap pre-operasi dilakukan persiapan alat dan bahan serta ruangan, persiapan pasien dan persiapan operator dan asisten operator. Premedikasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan Acepromazine 0,05 mg/kg dan pemberian anesthesia kombinasi Ketamine 10 mg/kg dan Diazepam 0,5 mg/kg. Anesthesi maintenance menggunakan Isoflurane 2%. Tahap operasi dilakukan pengangkatan bola mata dan dilakukan penjahitan untuk menutup luka luka bekas operasi. Terapi pasca operasi yang digunakan adalah pemberian inj meloxicam 0,3 mg/kg, inj cefotaxime 50 mg/kg, dan meloxicam 0,5 mg/kg oral sehari pasca operasi. Kucing dirawat inap selama 3 hari dan harus melakukan kontrol pada hari ketujuh. Kondisi luka insisi membaik pada hari ketujuh dan tidak terjadi komplikasi
English Abstract
Cats as pets have many health problems that can occur, one of which is the eye. Eye diseases in animals vary, one of which is prolapse, prolapse can occur either due to trauma to the eye when fighting with sharp objects, and so on. Prolapse is a condition where the bulbus oculi or eyeball protrudes. The treatment for bulbus oculi prolapse is by enucleation. Enucleation is the surgical removal of the eyeball. The case of bulbus oculi prolapse occurred in a 3 years old domestic cat, female, weight 3.7 kg. The cat was brought in with complaints that there was a wound in the left eye and the cause was unknown because the cat had not come home 5 days ago. The purpose of writing a case study is to find out the pre-operative, surgical and post-operative stages of enucleation as a prolapse treatment. The treatment carried out is enucleation with a transpalpabrae approach. The pre-operative stage is carried out by preparing tools and materials as well as the room, patient preparation and operator and assistant operator preparation. Premedication was carried out using Acepromazine 0.05 mg/kg and administration of a combination of Ketamine 10 mg/kg and Diazepam 0.5 mg/kg. Maintenance anesthesia using Isoflurane 2%. The surgical stage involves removing the eyeball and suturing it to close the surgical wound. The postoperative therapy used was administration of 0.3 mg/kg meloxicam injection, 50 mg/kg cefotaxime injection, and 0.5 mg/kg meloxicam orally the day after surgery. The cat was hospitalized for 3 days and had to do control on the seventh day. The incision wound condition improved on the seventh day and there were no complications
