Nizar, Mutia Attalia and Dr. Mintarti Rahayu, (2022) Peran Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Ocb) Sebagai Mediasi Pengaruh Employee Engagement Dan Komitmen Organisasional Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan (Studi Pada Rsia Puri Bunda Malang). Magister thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
The objective of this research is to assess and explain the role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in mediating the effects of employee engagement and organizational commitment on employee performance. The data of this quantitative research was harvested from questionnaires, which were distributed to 119 respondents selected using proportional random sampling from the population of employees of Puri Bunda Maternity Hospital in Malang, and was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling – PLS. The results of the hypothesis testing suggest that employee engagement and organizational commitment have no direct effect on employee performance and that Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) fully mediate the effects of those variables on employee performance. This means that employee engagement and organizational commitment will only be able to increase employee performance if they are strong enough to encourage employee’s working behaviors that are characterized by organizational citizenship behavior such as readiness to help each other and working as hard as possible more than merely achieving the predetermined minimum standard.
