Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) menyatakan Covid 19 menjadi krisis kesehatan dunia karena penyebarannya sangat cepat.

English Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Covid 19 to be a world health crisis because of its rapid spread. The number of positive confirmed cases continues to increase every day, but there are also many cure rates for this Covid 19 case. Based on the results of observations made by researchers, it is known that people are not confident in preventing covid 19 due to lack of knowledge and often seeing and hearing other people who fail to implement healthy behavior in preventing covid 19. From the observations of researchers, the government has often provided education about preventing covid 19 but have not been able to increase public confidence in healthy behavior in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. In fact, with the existing conditions, healthy behavior is very much needed to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. One of the most important factors in implementing healthy behavior is self-efficacy. Therefore, several factors that influence self-efficacy are performance accomplishment, vicarious experiences, verbal persuasion and physiological feedback. This type of research is quantitative, using a descriptive analytic research design with a cross sectional approach with a sample of 101 people obtained from purposive sampling. Data collection is done by using a questionnaire. There are three stages of data analysis in this study, namely: 1.) univariate analysis was carried out to determine the distribution of frequencies and characteristics; 2.) bivariate analysis using spearman rho test with a significant level of 5% (α = 0.05); 3.) multivariate analysis using logistic regression test. The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between performance accomplishments and self-efficacy (P = 0.000; r = -0.718), there is a relationship between vicarious experiences and self-efficacy (P = 0.000; r = -0.727), there is a relationship between verbal persuasion and self-efficacy (P = 0.000; r = -0.743) and there is a relationship between physiological feedback and self-efficacy (0.000; r = -0.682). And from the results of the multivariate analysis, it is known that vicarious experiences are the factor most related to the level of self-efficacy in healthy behavior in patients recovering from Covid 19 compared to other factors, namely performance accomplishment, verbal persuasion and physiological feedback. The results of this study indicate that self-efficacy in healthy behavior is influenced by several interrelated factors including performance accomplishments, vicarious experiences, verbal persuasion, and physiological feedback. And it is known that vicarious experiences are the factors that most influence self-efficacy so that health workers must be able to be good role models for patients in healthy behavior because other people will observe our daily behavior and also always provide education about healthy behavior in preventing covid 19. regularly so that respondents who previously did not have healthy behavior habits and did not have beliefs, tried to change their behavior to become healthier and comply with prevention protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic, because there was a need that emerged from within them to prevent contracting the virus. In addition, several COVID-19 protocols that are currently being implemented, such as wearing masks when doing activities outside, and maintaining distance are forms of behavior that have just emerged and become a habit during the pandemic. The nursing implications of several factors related to self-efficacy can be modified to support changes in individual behavior towards the expected health goals, not only to overcome the pandemic, but also other health problems. Providing clear information from health workers, especially nurses, regarding Covid 19 and the benefits of implementing the Covid 19 protocol can help respondents have the right belief in and avoid the wrong stigma related to COVID-19 and ensure that someone implements the Covid-19 prevention protocol on the basis of their own need to prevent transmission by knowing the benefits of action.
