Abstract
Kecamatan Driyorejo merupakan salah satu kecamatan di Kabupaten Gresik bagian selatan yang teridentifikasi mengalami urban sprawl tinggi akibat dari Kota Surabaya sebagai pusat kota utama. Aspek pendukung tingginya tingkat sprawl di Kecamatan Driyorejo ialah berupa Kepadatan penduduk, Kepadatan bangunan, serta jarak ke pusat Kota Surabaya. Pertumbuhan kawasan terbangun yang semakin banyak akibat dari demand lahan di Kota Surabaya semakin tinggi, berdampak kepada wilayah sekitarnya khususnya Kecamatan Driyorejo sebagai kawasan penyangga dengan fungsi sebagai wilayah alternatif aktivitas industri dan permukiman. Fenomena urban sprawl yang sangat erat dengan pertumbuhan kawasan terbangun tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor fisik saja, akan tetapi dipengaruhi oleh faktor sosial ekonomi masyarakat seperti urbanisasi, tingkat pendidikan, usia, serta tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat sangat berhubungan dengan bagaimana masyarakat tersebut menjual lahannya untuk dialihfungsi. Kemudian terjadinya urban sprawl memiliki keterhubungan pada sektor ekonomi khususnya perubahan mata pencaharian masyarakat lokal karena adanya investor masuk seperti industri. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui tipologi fenomena urban sprawl di Kecamatan Driyorejo serta mengukur besar keterkaitannya terhadap karakter sosial ekonomi masyarakatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis karakteristik urban sprawl yang terdiri dari analisis Kepadatan penduduk, Kepadatan bangunan, jarak ke pusat kota, pembangunan dalam jangkauan jaringan jalan, serta pola pembangunan lompatan katak. Kemudian akan dilakukan skoring hingga mendapat hasil tipologi urban sprawl pada masing masing desa. Katakter sosial ekonomi masyarakat terdiri dari tingkat Pendidikan, mata pencaharian masyarakat khususnya pertanian dan industri, tingkat kesejahteraan, dan harga lahan yang akan ditabulasikan berdasarkan desa yang teridentifikasi mengalami sprawl. Masing masing karakter masyarakat yang ada akan dilakukan analisis korelasi menggunakan korelasi kendall’s tau_b. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 3 desa yang memiliki tingkat urban sprawl rendah, 4 desa yang memiliki tingkat urban sprawl sedang, dan 4 desa yang memiliki tingkat urban sprawl tinggi. Kemudian terdapat keterkaitan yang kuat antara tipologi urban sprawl yang terbentuk dengan masyarakat bermata pencaharian pada sektor pertanian serta kelompok masyarakat pra sejahtera.
English Abstract
Driyorejo Subdistrict is one of the sub-districts in the southern Gresik Regency that has been identified as the high level of urban sprawl as a result of the city of Surabaya as the main city center. Supporting aspects of the high level of sprawl in Driyorejo District are in the form of population density, building density, and distance to the center of Surabaya. The growth of more and more built-up areas due to the increasing demand for land in the city of Surabaya has an impact on the surrounding area, especially Driyorejo District as a buffer area with a function as an alternative area for industrial and residential activities. The phenomenon of urban sprawl which is very close to the growth of built-up areas is not only influenced by physical factors, but is influenced by socioeconomic factors of the community such as urbanization, level of education, age, and level of community welfare is closely related to how the community sells their land for conversion. Then the occurrence of urban sprawl has a connection to the economic sector, especially changes in the livelihoods of local people due to the presence of incoming investors such as industry. The purpose of this study was to determine the typology of the urban sprawl phenomenon in Driyorejo District and measure the magnitude of its relationship to the socioeconomic character of society. This study used an analysis of urban sprawl characteristics consisting of an analysis of population density, building density, distance to the city center, development within the reach of the road network, and pattern of leapfrog development. Then scoring will be carried out until you get the results of the urban sprawl typology in each village. The socioeconomic frog of the community consists of the level of education, the livelihood of the community, especially agriculture and industry, the level of welfare, and the price of land to be tabulated based on the identified village experiencing sprawl. Each character of the existing community will be carried out a correlation analysis using the correlation of Kendall's tau_b. The results showed that 3 villages had low urban sprawl levels, 4 villages had medium urban sprawl levels, and 4 villages had high urban sprawl levels. Then there is a strong correlation between urban sprawl typology that is formed with the livelihood communities in the agricultural sector and the pre-prosperous community groups.
