Abstract

Stigma yang melekat pada penyandang disabilitas mempengaruhi penerimaan di tempat kerja. Hal ini disebabkan adanya kekhawatiran terhadap kinerja pekerja difabel yang kemudian mempengaruhi proses penerimaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara stigma terhadap workplace acceptance rekan kerja difabel. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan 104 subjek yang merupakan rekan kerja dari pekerja difabel yang bekerja di instansi Pemerintahan, Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN), atau perusahaan swasta. Variabel stigma diukur menggunakan The Stigma Scale of Mental Illness (2007) dengan reliabilitas (α = 0,932). Variabel Workplace Acceptance diukur dengan Workplace Acceptance Scale (2020) yang memiliki nilai reliabilitas sebesar (α = 0,930), menggunakan Cronbach Alpha. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Pearson’s Product Moment melalui software Statistical Program for Social Science. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara stigma terhadap workplace acceptance rekan kerja difabel dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,288 > 0,05 dan nilai korelasi koefisien sebesar -0,105 yang berarti hipotesis alternatif penelitian (Ha) ditolak dan hipotesis nihil (H0) diterima

English Abstract

The stigma attached to people with disabilities affects acceptance in the workplace. This is due to concerns about the performance of workers with disabilities that affect the admission process. This study aims to determine the relationship between stigma and workplace acceptance of colleagues with disabilities. The method used in this research is correlational quantitative method with 104 subjects who are colleagues of disabled workers and work in Government Agencies, State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), or private companies. The scale used to measure stigma is The Stigma Scale of Mental Illness (2007) which modified to disability concern with reliability (α = 0,932). Workplace Acceptance measured by Workplace Acceptance Scale (2020) with (α = 0,930) reliability, and used Cronbach Alpha. The analysis technique uses Pearson’s Product Moment in Statistical Program for Social Science software. The result of this study found that there was no significant relationship between Stigma and Workplace Acceptance of co-workers and also rejected the alternative hypothesis (Ha) with significant value 0,288 > 0,05 and correlation coefficient value -0,105 that rejected the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and accepted the null hypothesis (H0)
