Abstract
Penurunan performa dari sektor pariwisata Kanada pada tahun 2000-2006 menjadi alasan bagi Kanada untuk menciptakan identitas nation branding yang baru bernama “Canada. Keep Exploring”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat strategi nation branding Kanada untuk meningkatkan sektor pariwisata pada tahun 2007- 2018 dan konsep yang digunakan adalah nation branding strategy milik Keith Dinnie. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam 11 tahun pelaksanaan nation branding Kanada melalui variabel-variabel nation branding strategy berhasil memberikan hasil positif berupa peningkatan performa pada sektor pariwisata Kanada seperti peningkatan kedatangan jumlah wisatawan internasional serta peningkatan nation brand index Kanada
English Abstract
The decline in the performance of the Canadian tourism sector in 2000-2006 was the reason for Canada to create a new nation branding identity called “Canada. Keep Exploring”. This study aims to look at Canada's nation branding strategy to improve the tourism sector in 2007-2018 and the concept used is Keith Dinnie's nation branding strategy. The results of this study indicate that in 11 years the implementation of Canadian nation branding through the nation branding strategy variables has succeeded in producing positive results in the form of improved performance in the Canadian tourism sector such as an increase in the number of international tourist arrivals and an increase in Canada's nation brand index.
