Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi efek penambahan tepung kelor (Moringa oleifera) dan jahe (Zingiber officinale) sebagai feed additive dalam pakan terhadap penampilan produksi dan total plate count mikroba digesta ileum ayam petelur. Penelitian tahap pertama meliputi uji daya hambat bakteri Salmonella sp., Escherichia coli dan Bakteri Asam Laktat. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tepung kelor, tepung jahe, dan antibiotik chloramphenicol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu tepung kelor dan jahe dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda, P0+ (Chloramphenicol 0,1), P1 (0,25% tepung kelor + 0,25% tepung jahe), P2 (0,50% tepung kelor + 0,50% tepung jahe), P3 (0,75% tepung kelor + 0,75% tepung jahe). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa daya hambat terbaik yaitu pada P3. Penelitian tahap kedua yaitu penampilan produksi ayam petelur dengan penambahan tepung kelor dan jahe. Materi yang digunakan yaitu tepung kelor, tepung jahe, dan 140 ekor ayam petelur. Pengamatan pada tahap kedua meliputi konsumsi pakan, hen day production, egg mass, konversi pakan, dan income over feed cost. Penelitian tahap kedua menggunakan metode eksperimental terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Penelitian selanjutnya yaitu total plate count mikroba digesta ileum, variabel yang diamati yaitu jumlah populasi mikroba dalam usus. Hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Anova dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan jika terdapat perbedaan nyata. Tahap pertama menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap daya hambat mikroba Salmonella sp., Escherichia coli dan Bakteri Asam Laktat. Perlakuan P3 yaitu 0,75% tepung kelor dan 0,75% tepung jahe memberikan daya hambat yang lebih besar dibandingkan P2 dan P1 meskipun nilai zona daya hambat masuk dalam kategori lemah. Penelitian tahap kedua menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung kelor dan jahe memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap nilai konsumsi pakan, hen day production, egg mass, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap nilai income over feed cost dan konversi pakan. Penambahan tepung kelor dan jahe juga berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap jumlah mikroba dalam usus halus ayam petelur. Penambahan tepung kelor dan jahe pada level 0,50% memiliki potensi meningkatkan nilai HDP dan egg mass dan menurunkan konversi pakan, sedangkan penambahan tepung kelor dan jahe level 0,75% memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap warna kuning telur, bobot telur, dan tebal kerabang telur, serta mampu menurunkan jumlah mikroba dalam usus ayam petelur.
English Abstract
This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of adding moringa flour (Moringa oleifera) and ginger (Zingiber officinale) as feed additives in feed on production performance and total plate count of ileum digesta microbes in laying hens. The first phase of the research involved testing the inhibition of Salmonella sp., Escherichia coli and Lactic Acid Bacteria. The materials used in this study were moringa flour, ginger flour, and chloramphenicol antibiotics. This study used an experimental method consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments used were moringa flour and ginger with different concentrations, T0+ (Chloramphenicol 0.1), T1 (0.25% moringa flour + 0.25% ginger powder), T2 (0.50% moringa flour + 0.50 % ginger flour), T3 (0.75% moringa flour + 0.75% ginger flour). The results show that the best inhibition is at P3. The second stage of research is the performance of laying hens with the addition of moringa flour and ginger. The materials used were moringa flour, ginger flour, and 140 laying hens. Observations in the second stage include feed consumption, hen day production, egg mass, feed conversion, and income over feed costs. The second phase of the study used an experimental method consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The next study was the total plate count of ileal digesta microbes, the observed variable was the number of microbial populations in the intestine. The results of the study were analyzed using ANOVA analysis using a completely randomized design (CRD), followed by Duncan's test if there is a significant difference. The first eksperiment showed that there was a very significant difference (P<0.01) in the inhibition of Salmonella sp., Escherichia coli and Lactic Acid Bacteria. The P3 treatment, namely 0.75% moringa flour and 0.75% ginger flour, showed a higher inhibition than P2 and P1, even though the value of the zone of inhibition was in the weak category. The second eksperiment of the study showed that the addition of moringa powder and ginger had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the value of feed consumption, hen day production, egg mass, but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the value of income over feed cost and feed conversion. The addition of Moringa powder and ginger also had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the number of microbes in the small intestine of laying hens. The addition of moringa flour and ginger at a level of 0.50% has the potential to increase HDP and egg mass values and reduce feed conversion, while the addition of moringa flour and ginger at a level of 0.75% gives the best results on egg yolk color, egg weight and eggshell thickness, and able to reduce the number of microbes in the ileum of laying hens.
