Abstract
PT. Great Giant Pineapple merupakan pemasok nanas terbesar ketiga didunia dengan angka permintaan yang tinggi. Namun hingga saat ini permasalahan serangan penyakit pada tanaman nanas di PT. Great Giant Pineapple masih belum dapat dikendalikan. Penyakit busuk Hati yang disebabkan oleh Phytophthora nicotianae merupakan salah satu penyakit penting yang menyebabkan penurunan produksi pada PT. Great Giant Pineapple, namun penggunaan pestisida dinilai kurang efisien karena dapat meningkatkan biaya produksi dan dapat menyebabkan kerusakan lingkungan. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan adanya teknik pengendalian baru yaitu menggunakan Agens Hayati. Agens hayati merupakan organisme baik jamur, bakteri, maupun virus yang diduga dapat mengendalikan tanaman dari serangan Organisme Pengganggu Tanaman (OPT). Agens Hayati dapat berfungsi sebagai Bioprotectant dan Biofertilizer yang dapat meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman sekaligus meningkatkan laju pertumbuhan tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi Agens Hayati T. harzianum, Mikoriza, dan Bakteri B8 terhadap pertumbuhan penyakit P. nicotianae serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh Agens Hayati T. harzianum, Mikoriza, dan Bakteri B8 terhadap laju pertumbuhan tanaman nanas. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan September hingga November 2022 di Lahan Percobaan Endemik Research and Development dan Laboratorium Proteksi, PT Great Giant Pineapple. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian Uji Efektivitas Agens Hayati T. harzianum, Mikoriza, dan Bakteri B8 adalah Uji T, yaitu membandingkan hasil data yang diperoleh dari lahan kontrol dengan lahan perlakuan (Trichoderma harzianum, Mikoriza, dan Bakteri B8). Selain itu dilakukan Uji Antagonis T.harzianum dengan P. nicotianae untuk mengetahui tingkat penghambatan dan efektivitas T.harzianum dalam menghambat pertumbuhan P. nicotianae. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil bahwa Agens Hayati T.hazianum dapat menghambat pertumbuhan P. nicotianae secara in vitro. Selain itu, Agens Hayati T.harzianum, Mikoriza, dan Bakteri B8 dapat meningkatkan laju pertumbuhan, baik dari segi pertambahan anakan daun, penjang d-leaf, lebar d-leaf, serta tinggi d-leaf pada tanaman nanas di PT. Great Giant Pineapple.
English Abstract
PT. Great Giant Pineapple is the third largest supplier of pineapples in the world with high demand. But until now the problem of disease attack on pineapple plants at PT. Great Giant Pineapple is still uncontrollable. Lanas disease caused by Phytophthora nicotianae is one of the important diseases causing decreased production at PT. Great Giant Pineapple, but the use of pesticides is considered less efficient because it can increase production costs and can cause environmental damage. Therefore, it is necessary to have a new control technique, namely using biological agents. Biological agents are organisms, including fungi, bacteria, and viruses, which are thought to be able to control plants from attack by Plant Destructive Organisms (OPT). Biological Agents can function as a Bioprotectant and Biofertilizer which can increase plant resistance while increasing plant growth rates. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the Biological Agents T. harzianum, Mycorrhiza, and Bacteria B8 on the growth of P. nicotianae disease and to determine the effect of the Biological Agents T. harzianum, Mycorrhiza, and Bacteria B8 on the growth rate of pineapple plants. This research was conducted from September to November 2022 at the Endemic Research and Development Experimental Field and Protection Laboratory, PT Great Giant Pineapple. The method used in the study of the Effectiveness Test of Biological Agents T. harzianum, Mycorrhiza, and Bacteria B8 is the T Test, which compares the results of data obtained from control fields with treated fields (T.harzianum, Mycorrhiza, and Bacteria B8). In addition, a T.harzianum antagonist test was carried out with P. nicotianae to determine the level of inhibition and effectiveness of T.harzianum in inhibiting the growth of P. nicotianae. Based on the research that has been done, the results show that the Biological Agent T.hazianum can inhibit the growth of P. nicotianae in vitro. In addition, the Biological Agents T.harzianum, Mycorrhiza, and Bacteria B8 can increase the growth rate, both in terms of leaf tillering, d-leaf length, d-leaf width, and d-leaf height in pineapple plants at PT. Great Giant Pineapple.
