Abstract

Terbentuknya memori bukan saja dari individu, melainkan juga bisa dari kelompok-kelompok tertentu dan memori antar kedua hal tersebut dapat memiliki keterkaitan sehingga membentuk memori kolektif. Memori dapat direpresentasikan dalam bentuk-bentuk selain ingatan yang ada di dalam diri manusia, yakni seperti arsip. Dalam hal ini, terdapat fenomena di salah satu Desa Pakel di Banyuwangi, yang memiliki arsip berusia satu abad yang telah mereka simpan dan rawat hingga hari ini, juga arsip-arsip lainnya dari tahun ke tahun yang diturunkan lintas generasi yang sekarang disimpan oleh organisasi warga Pakel bernama Rukun Tani Sumberejo Pakel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri wujud memori kolektif yang terbentuk oleh warga Rukun Tani Sumberejo Pakel atas hak miliknya, serta untuk menelusuri peran-peran arsip yang warga miliki dalam membentuk memori kolektif mereka. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Peneliti mendeskripsikan fenomena pada Rukun Tani Sumberejo Pakel terkait hubungannya dengan memori dan arsip. Data yang dikumpulkan berasal dari data primer; observasi dan wawancara, serta data sekunder; sumber tulisan dan sumber visual. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat hubungan antara memori kolektif warga yang terbentuk dari arsip dan arsip sendiri telah berperan dalam merekonstruksi memori, menjadi memori dan penulisan sejarah, serta membentuk identitas warga sehingga apa yang warga hari ini lakukan, sejatinya juga lahir atas peran-peran arsip yang diturunkan lintas generasi, terkhusus pada hak milik yang termuat dalam Akta 1929. Karenanya dalam merawat ingatan ini, warga tak dapat berdiri sendiri. Bantuan dari Lembaga Hukum, NGO, dan solidaritas telah diturunkan namun dalam kapasitas dan sumber daya untuk lebih berfokus dalam merawat memori maupun arsip warga, mereka memiliki keterbatasan untuk itu.

English Abstract

The formation of memory is not only from individuals but also from certain groups and memories between the two things can have links to form collective memory. Memory can be represented in forms other than the memories that exist in humans, namely archives In this case, there is a phenomenon in one of the villages in Banyuwangi, namely Desa Pakel which has a century-old archive that they have kept and cared for to this day, as well as other archives from year to year passed down across generations which are now being kept by the pakel residents organization.named Rukun Tani Sumberejo Pakel. This study aims to explore the form of collective memory formed by the residents of Rukun Tani Sumberejo Pakel over their property rights, as well as to explore the roles of archives that residents have in forming their collective memory. This research paper is qualitative research with phenomenological methods. The researcher then describes the phenomena at the Rukun Tani Sumberejo Pakel related to their relationship with memory and archives. The data collected comes from primary data; observation and interviews, as well as secondary data; written and visual sources. The results of this study are that there is a relation between the collective memory of residents formed from archives and the archives themselves have played a role in reconstructing memories, becoming memories and writing history, and forming citizen identities so that what residents do today is born from the roles of archives. passed down from generation to generation, especially the property rights contained in the 1929 Deed. Therefore, in caring for this memory, residents cannot stand alone. Assistance from legal institutions, NGOs and solidarity has been reduced but in terms of capacity and resources to focus more on caring for residents' memories and archives, they have limitations for that.
