Abstract

Kebutuhan manusia terhadap energi tidak sebanding dengan ketersediaanya cadangan energi di bumi. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi menipisnya persediaan bahan bakar minyak bumi adalah produksi bioetanol dalam skala besar. Bioetanol dapat diproduksi dengan bahan baku molase yang di Indonesia tersedia dalam jumlah yang besar. Tujuan desain teknologi ini adalah merancang pabrik bioetanol dan tata letak produksi bioetanol dengan bahan baku molase, menghitung neraca massa dan neraca panas pada perancangan instalasi pengolahan awal bahan baku dan pembibitan pabrik bioetanol, serta menganalisis aspek ekonomi pada perancangan instalasi pengolahan awal bahan baku dan pembibitan pabrik bioetanol dengan bahan dasar molase 24 ton perhari. Metode desain teknologi yang digunakan antara lain penentuan lokasi pabrik menggunakan metode Center of Gravity, perhitungan neraca massa masuk dan keluar, perhitungan neraca panas, penentuanalat dengan melakukan perhitungan dimensi dan perancangan desain dengan software AutoCAD, perancangan tata letak pabrik, dan perhitungan analisis kelayakan ekonomi meliputi modal, biaya tetap, biaya variabel, HPP, margin, harga jual produk, laba produksi, B/C Ratio, Break Event Point, dan Payback Period. Hasil perhitungan neraca massa pada proses pengolahan awal bahan baku pada pencampuran sebesar 70.720 kg/hari, pembibitan sebesar 2.562,833 kg/hari dan prefermentasi sebesar 7.117,083 kg/hari. Sedangkan hasil perhitungan neraca panas pada proses pembibitan sebesar 284.357,762 kkal/hari dan prefermentasi sebesar 387.930,945 kkal/hari. Sedangkan hasil perhitungan ekonomi, didapatkan nilai HPP sebesar Rp 20.090, margin sebesar 10% sehingga harga jual menjadi Rp 22.100, laba produksi yang dihasilkan sebesar Rp 4.192.543.066, B/C Ratio sebesar 3,3, BEP unit sebesar 66.706 liter tahun, BEP (Rp) sebesar Rp 647.982.700 dengan persentase sebesar 73,52% dan PBP sekitar 15 bulan.

English Abstract

The human need for energy is not proportional to the availability of energy reserves on earth. One of the solutions to overcome the depletion of petroleum fuel supplies is through the production of bioethanol on a large scale. Bioethanol can be produced from molasses, which is available in large quantities in Indonesia. The purpose of this technological design is to design a bioethanol factory and layout of bioethanol production with molasses as raw material, calculate the mass balance and heat balance in the design of the initial raw material processing and yeast seeding in a bioethanol factory, and analyze the economic aspects of the design of the raw material initial processing and yeast seeding in a bioethanol factory with molasses as base material of 24 tons per day. The technological design methods used include determining the location of the factory using the Center of Gravity method, calculating input and output of mass balances, calculating heat balance, determine specifications by calculating dimensions and designing using AutoCAD, designing factory layouts, and calculating economic feasibility analysis including capital, fixed costs, variable costs, COGS, margins, product selling prices, production profits, B/C Ratio, Break Event Point, and Payback Period. The results of the calculation of the mass balance in the initial processing of raw materials in mixing 70,720 kg/day, yeast seeding 2,562.833 kg/day and prefermentation 7,117.083 kg/day. While the heat balance calculation results in the yeast seeding process 284,357.762 kcal/day and prefermentation 387,930.945 kcal/day. For economic analysis, the COGs (Rp) value is IDR 20,090, the margin is 10%, so the selling price is IDR 22,100, while the resulting production profit is IDR 4,192,543,066 with the B/C Ratio is 3.3, the BEP unit is 66,706 liters per year, BEP (Rp) of IDR 647,982,700 with a percentage of 73.52% with a PBP of around 15 months.
