Abstract
Penelitian dilakukan di Balai Inseminasi Buatan (BIB) Lembang yang terletak di Jl. Kayu Ambon, Lemabang, Bandung, Jawa Barat 40391. Pengambilan data dilakukan dari tanggal 16 Februari 2020 sampai dengan 26 Januari 2020. Kajian hubungan produksi semen Kambing Saanen pada berbagai umur. Manfaat penelitian ini adalah sebagai bahan masukan bagi BIB Lembang Bandung dalam mengevaluasi produksi semen kambing Saanen pada umur yang berbeda. Diharapkan dapat menjadi kajian ilmiah sekaligus referensi bagi kalangan akademisi mengenai produksi semen segar kambing Saanen di BIB Lembang pada berbagai umur. Materi penelitian berupa data kandang semen kambing Saanen Neputne (201425) dan Nefelo (201426) pada umur 4 tahun, 5 tahun dan 6 tahun. Pengujian kualitas semen segar secara mikroskopis oleh asisten Laboratorium BIB Lembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi dengan menggunakan data hasil pencatatan produksi semen dan mutu segar kambing Saanen selama 3 tahun terakhir. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi dan linier sederhana untuk mengetahui keeratan hubungan. Variabel yang digunakan meliputi volume, motilitas individu, konsentrasi spermatozoa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur memiliki hubungan erat yang sangat rendah dengan volume berturut-turut (r=0). Rerata volume semen kambing Saanen pada umur yang berbeda yaitu umur 4,5, dan 6 tahun berturut-turut adalah 2,21 ± 072 ml, 2,68 ± 0,85 ml) dan 2,66 ± 0,84 ml. (r=0,14) Rata-rata motilitas individu spermatozoa kambing Saanen umur 4,5 dan 6 tahun berturut-turut adalah 66 ± 14,71%, 63 ± 18,45% dan 60 ± 15,70%. (r=0,12) Rata-rata konsentrasi spermatozoa spermatozoa kambing Saanen umur 4,5, dan 6 tahun berturut- turut adalah 2226,37 ± 617,11 juta/ml, 2307,07 ± 682,13 juta/ml dan 2055,90 ± 612,82 juta/ml. (r=0,12). Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usia memiliki hubungan rata- rata yang sangat rendah dengan kualitas semen. Pada umur 4 tahun menghasilkan semen kualitas terbaik dengan motilitas individu diatas umur 5 tahun dan 6 tahun. Namun konsentrasinya mengalami peningkatan pada umur 5 tahun dan menurun pada umur 6 tahun. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan perbaikan pakan, lingkungan dan kesehatan ternak agar diperoleh hasil penyimpanan semen segar dalam jumlah banyak dan kualitas terjaga sampai umur maksimal.
English Abstract
The research was conducted at the Lembang Artificial Insemination Center (BIB), located on Jl. Ambon wood, Lemabang, Bandung, West Java 40391. Data collection was carried out form 16 February 2020 to 26 January 2020. The study to relationship the semen production of Saanen Goats at aifferent ages. The benefit of this research is as input of information for BIB Lembang, Bandung in evaluating the semen production of Saanen goats at different ages. It is hoped that this will become a scientific study as well as a reference for academics regarding fresh semen production of Saanen goats at BIB Lembang at different ages. The research material is in the form of data from the semen shelter of Saanen goats Neputne (201425) and Nefelo (201426) at the ages of 4 years,5 years and 6 years. Testing the quality of fresh semen microscopically by a Lembang BIB Laboratory assistant. The research method use was a study using data on the result of recording semen production and fresh quality of Saanen goats for the last 3 years. The data analysis used is correlation and simple linier to determine the closeness of the relationship. Variables used include volume, individual motility, spermatozoan concentration. The result of the study showed that age had a very low close relationship with successive volume (r = 0). The mean volume of semen Saanen goats at different ages, namely ages 4,5, and 6 years resoectively, were 2.21 ± 072 ml, 2.68 ± 0.85 ml) and 2.66 ± 0.84 ml. r=(0,14) The average motility of individual spermatozoa of Saanen goats at the age of 4,5, and 6 years resoectively, were 66 ± 14.71%, 63 ± 18.45% and 60 ± 15.70%. r= (0,12) The average spermatozoan concentration spermatozoa of Saanen goats at the age of 4,5, and 6 years resoectively were 2226.37 ± 617.11 juta/ml, 2307.07 ± 682.13 juta/ml and 2055.90 ± 612.82 juta/ ml. r= (0,12). The result of the study can be concluded that the result of the study show that ages has a very low average relationship with the semen quality. At the ages of 4 years it produces the best quality semen with individual motility above age 5 years and 6 years. But the concentration has increased at the ages of 5 years and the decreased in 6 years. It the necessary to improved feed, environment and livestock health in order to obtain fresh semen storage result in large quantities and the quality in maintened until maximum ages.
