Abstract
Penerjemahan telah menarik banyak sarjana di bidang bilingualisme, tetapi tidak banyak penelitian yang melakukan kajian literatur mengenai topik ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memetakan secara komprehensif praktik translanguaging di kelas L2 dalam konteks global dan Indonesia dengan meninjau 15 studi empiris yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal ilmiah dari tahun 2014 hingga 2022, dilakukan melalui metode kualitatif yang berfokus pada empat bidang utama: (1) pemetaan studi yang relevan; (2) kelebihan penerjemahan di kelas L2; (3) bahasa yang digunakan; dan (4) persepsi terhadap penerjemahan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa guru dan siswa memiliki keuntungan translanguage di kelas L2. Mereka telah menyuarakan persetujuan mereka dengan penerapan translanguaging sebagai pedagogi karena berdampak positif pada pengajaran dan pembelajaran L2. Kajian ini mencoba mengisi celah apakah penerapan dan dampak translanguage sama di setiap daerah.
English Abstract
Translanguaging has attracted many scholars in the field of bilingualism, but not many studies conducted a literature review regarding this topic. The purpose of this study is to mind-mapping a comprehensive on translanguaging practices in L2 classrooms in the global and Indonesian contexts by reviewing 15 empirical studies published in scientific journals from 2014 to 2022, conducted through a qualitative method focusing on four primary areas: (1) mapping of relevant studies; (2) advantages of translanguaging in L2 classroom; (3) languages used; and (4) perceptions toward translanguaging. The findings indicate that teachers and students have the gain of translanguaging in L2 classrooms. They have voiced their agreement with the implementation of translanguaging as pedagogy since it positively impacts L2 teaching and learning. This study tries to fill the gap on whether the application and impact of translanguaging are the same in each area.
