English Abstract

Broiler is a meat-producing livestock whose production period is relatively faster compared to other beef cattle. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of feed consumption, body weight gain (BBB), and feed conversion ratio (FCR) after being given the additional type of brown sugar, pocari sweat, or infused water in DOC broiler drinking water when chicks are brought in to achieve maximum production. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and six repetitions. The treatments included a control treatment (P0), the addition of 1% brown sugar (P1), the addition of 1% pocari sweat (P2), and the addition of 1% infused water (P3) to DOC drinking water during chick-in. Parameters observed were feed consumption, body weight gain (PBB), and feed conversion ratio (FCR). The data obtained was then analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with v Duncan's Multiple Range Test (UJBD). The results showed that the addition of the type of drinking water had no effect on feed consumption but had a very significant effect (P<0,01) on body weight gain (PBB), with the highest result being the addition of 1% sugar water (P1:1681,28±82,23), as well as having a significant effect on the feed conversion ratio (FCR), with the highest yield at the addition of 1% sugar water (P1:1,64±0,08). It was concluded that adding the type of drinking water to DOC when chicks were introduced affected feed consumption, body weight gain (PBB), and feed conversion ratio (FCR). The best treatment is at P1 with the addition of 1% brown sugar. Based on these results, adding 1% brown sugar to DOC drinking water during chick-in is more recommended than adding pocari sweat or infused water.
