Abstract
Ekstraksi gigi merupakan prosedur bidang kedokteran gigi menimbulkan luka. Biji pinang secara tradisional digunakan sebagai obat luka sayat, maka hal ini menimbulkan potensi untuk digunakan sebagai bahan obat herbal untuk penyembuhan luka ekstraksi gigi. Penyembuhan luka pasca pencabutan gigi dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan sel melakukan regenerasi ke struktur normal. Sel yang berperan penting dalam penyembuhan luka adalah kolagen. Tujuan: Memberikan kajian komprehensif mengenai potensi Pengaruh Sediaan Gel Ekstrak Biji Pinang dalam Pembentukan Jaringan Ikat Kolagen pada Proses Penyembuhan Luka Pasca Ekstraksi Gigi. Metode: Teknik yang digunakan adalah systematic review secara online dengan metode PRISMA untuk menyeleksi berbagai data sekunder studi literatur kata kunci studi literatur. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Berdasarkan 11 jurnal yang dianalisis, gel biji pinang ditemukan memiliki kandungan etanol yang berperan dalam meningkatkan kolagen pada penyembuhan luka Kesimpulan: Kandungan dari gel ekstrak biji pinang (Areca catechu L.) dapat berperan secara aktif terhadap penyembuhan luka pasca ekstraksi gigi dan berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan pembentukan jaringan ikat kolagen pada proses penyembuhan luka
English Abstract
Tooth extraction is a dental procedure which leaves behind wound Betel nut is traditionally used as an incision wound medicine, so this raises the potential for use as an ingredient in herbal medicine to heal extraction wounds. Wound healing after tooth extraction is influenced by the ability of cells to regenerate to normal structure. The important cell in wound healing process is the collagen. Objective:. Provides a comprehensive overview of the potential Effect of Areca Nut Extract Gel Preparations in the Formation of Collagen Connective Tissue on Wound Healing Process Post Tooth Extraction. Methods:. The technique used is an online systematic review with the PRISMA method to select secondary data from literature studies Results and Discussion: Based on 11 analyzed journals, betel nut gel was found to contain ethanol which plays a role in increasing collagen in wound healing . Conclusion: The content of betel nut extract gel (Areca catechu) can play an active role in wound healing after tooth extraction and has an effect on increasing the formation of collagen connective tissue in the wound healing process
