Abstract
Pada negara maju sekitar 44-57% penduduk mengalami gingivitis. Kandungan daun kersen yg berfungsi sebagai antiinflamasi salah satunya flavonoid, sehingga kandungan tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan untuk penyembuhan gingivitis dalam sediaan gel. Tujuan: Mengetahui efek pemberian gel ekstrak daun kersen terhadap jumlah sel makrofag pada tikus yang mengalami gingivitis. Metode: Terdapat sebanyak 20 sampel yang terbagi menjadi 4 kelompok meliput kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, perlakuan (gel ekstrak daun kersen 10% dan 15%) dengan cara diaplikasikan 2 kali sehari selama 2 hari pada daerah yang mengalami inflamasi. Tikus dekaputasi pada hari ke 4. Perhitungan jumlah makrofag dilakukan secara histologis dengan pewarnaan HE Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil uji One Way Anova diperoleh nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000 yang menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan pengaruh gel ekstrak daun kersen terhadap jumlah sel makrofag pada penyembuhan gingivitis pada keempat kelompok perlakuan. Kesimpulan: Kandungan gel ekstrak daun kersen dapat menurunkan jumlah sel makrofag pada model gingivitis tikus wistar
English Abstract
an developed countries around 44-57% of the population has gingivitis. The content of cherry leaves which functions as an anti-inflammatory is one of the flavonoids, so that this content can be used to cure gingivitis in gel preparations. Objective: To determine the effect of giving cherry leaf extract gel on the number of macrophage cells in rats with gingivitis. Methods: There were 20 samples divided into 4 groups including negative control, positive control, treatment (10% and 15% cherry leaf extract gel) by applying 2 times a day for 2 days to areas experiencing inflammation. Decapitulated rats on day 4. Calculation of the number of macrophages was carried out histologically by HE staining. Result: Based on the results of the One Way Anova test, a significant value of 0.000 was obtained which indicated that there was a difference in the effect of cherry leaf extract gel. on the number of macrophage cells in healing gingivitis in the four treatment groups. Conclusion: The content of cherry leaf extract gel can reduce the number of macrophage cells in the gingivitis model of Wistar rats.
