Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui konsep pengkaryaan pelaku self injury terhadap hasil karya seni lukis pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan 3 subjek yang merupakan mahasiswa Universitas Brawijaya. Self-Injury adalah perilaku melukai diri sendiri yang disengaja tanpa disertai niat untuk bunuh diri, Karya seni sebagai ekspresi merupakan hasil ungkapan batin seorang seniman yang terpapar dalam karya seni lewat medium dan alat. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara dan dokumentasi serta analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Karya setiap subjek akan dibaca melalui pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Penelitian ini memuat diantaranya : (1) melihat latar belakang dari masing – masing pelaku self injury (2) adanya korelasi psikologi dengan penciptaan karya seni oleh masing – masing pelaku self injury. Melalui penelitian ini sesuai harapan penulis, ditemukan adanya manfaat berkarya seni untuk mengurangi perilaku self injury. Kecenderungan perilaku self injury masih terjadi beberapa kali, namun berkurang setelah subjek lebih memilih melampiaskan regulasi emosi dan kegelisahannya dengan berkarya ketika kondisi psikologisnya mulai kacau. Ditemukan juga hasil dari karya seni setiap subjek menampilkan kesan personal sesuai kondisi psikologis yang dialami ketika berkarya seni
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the concept of the work of self-injury actors on the results of painting in students. This research involved 3 subjects who were students of Brawijaya University. Self-injury is the behavior of self-injury that is intentional without being accompanied by suicidal intent. Artwork as an expression is the result of an artist's inner expression exposed to artwork through mediums and tools. This type of research uses a type of qualitative research with interview data collection techniques and documentation as well as data analysis used is the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The work of each subjects will be read through Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. This research includes: (1) looking at the background of each perpetrator of self-injury (2) there is a psychological correlation with the creation of works of art by each perpetrator of self-injury. Through this research, according to the author's expectations, it was found that there are benefits of creating art to reduce self-injury behavior. The tendency for self- injury behavior still occurs several times, but decreases after the subject prefers to vent his emotional regulation and anxiety by working when his psychological condition starts to go awry. It was also found that the results of each subject's artwork displayed a personal impression according to the psychological conditions experienced when creating art
