Abstract
COVID-19 yang telah menjadi pandemi di seluruh dunia paling sering ditransmisikan melalui droplet pernafasan. Masker merupakan salah satu upaya pencegahan transmisi yang efektif. Pada saat kepatuhan penggunaan masker di Indonesia sudah mencapai 93,29% per Oktober 2021, tingkat kepatuhan di Kabupaten Malang tidak mencapai 90%. Delapan persepsi tentang masker diduga dapat mempengaruhi kepatuhan penggunaan masker. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi tentang masker terhadap kepatuhan penggunaan masker untuk pencegahan transmisi COVID-19 di Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional melalui penyebaran kuesioner online berupa Zoho Form kepada masyarakat Kabupaten Malang yang dipilih menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling mulai Juni hingga September 2022. Dari 153 responden, 125 responden (81,7%) memiliki kepatuhan tinggi penggunaan masker dan 28 responden sisanya (18,3%) memiliki kepatuhan rendah penggunaan masker. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, didapatkan adanya pengaruh antara empat persepsi tentang masker, yaitu kenyamanan, keraguan efikasi, akses, dan kompensasi terhadap kepatuhan penggunaan masker pada masyarakat Kabupaten Malang. Keraguan efikasi merupakan satu-satunya persepsi yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan (p = 0,000 ; OR 6,780 ; 95% Cl 2,339 – 19,656).
English Abstract
COVID-19 which has become a pandemic worldwide, is most often transmitted via respiratory droplets. Face masks are an effective measure of preventing transmission. At a time when adherence to wearing face masks in Indonesia had reached 93.29% as of October 2021, the adherence level in Malang Regency did not reach 90%. Eight face mask perceptions are thought to influence face mask adherence. This study aims to determine the influence of face mask perception on face mask adherence to prevent transmission of COVID-19 in Malang Regency. This study used an analytic observational method with a cross-sectional approach by distributing online questionnaires in the form of Zoho Form to the people of Malang Regency who were selected using the consecutive sampling technique from June to September 2022. From 153 respondents, 125 respondents (81.7%) had high adherence to using face mask and the remaining 28 respondents (18.3%) had low adherence to using face mask. Based on the analysis results, there was an influence between the four face mask perceptions, namely comfort, efficacy doubts, access, and compensation on face mask adherence in the people of Malang Regency. Efficacy doubts is the only perception that has a significant effect (p = 0,000 ; OR 6,780 ; 95% Cl 2,339 – 19,656).
