Abstract

Kulit seringkali mengalami permasalahan akibat faktor luar yang bisa menyebabkan cedera pada kulit, seperti luka, jerawat, dan stretch mark. Angka kejadian luka di dunia semakin meningkat di setiap tahunnya dengan etiologi kejadian luka yang bervariasi. Minyak yang berlebih pada wajah merupakan salah satu dampak yang memicu terhadap pembentukan jerawat. Pegagan (Centella asiatica (L) Urban) yang merupakan tanaman asli Indonesia dengan kandungan asiaticosida dan madecosside dapat berfungsi dalam pembentukan kolagen, yaitu protein struktur yang memiliki peran penting dalam proses penyembuhan luka dan aktivitas antibakteri penyebab infeksi jerawat, mengurangi timbulnya stretch mark akibat penurunan fungsi fibroblas, serta efek farmakologis lainnya seperti antioksidan, anti-aging, dan antiacne. Berdasarkan permasalahan dan fakta tersebut, Metode pembuatan gel La Cica dilakukan secara eksperimental dan berprinsip pada observasi serta literatur efektivitas pegagan dalam penyembuhan luka serta perbaikan skin barrier. La Cica merupakan produk inovasi gel multifungsi (2 in 1) berbahan dasar pegagan, lidah buaya serta lavender yang terstandar aman bagi kulit dengan harga Rp 80.000 yang dapat menyembuhkan luka hingga menghilangkan bekas luka serta digunakan sebagai moisturizer, antiacne, dan anti-aging. Selain itu produk tidak mengandung alkohol dan paraben sehingga aman untuk semua kalangan termasuk ibu hamil. Dengan keunggulan tersebut, produk La Cica diprediksi dapat menjadi bisnis yang berkelanjutan dan dapat membuka lapangan pekerjaan di Indonesia.

English Abstract

The skin often has problems due to external factors that can cause injuries to the skin, such as wounds, acne, and stretch marks. The incidence of injuries in the world is increasing every year with variants etiology. Excessive oil on the face is one of the impact that trigger the formation of acne. Centella asiatica (L) Urban is a plant from Indonesia that contains asiaticoside and madecosside which has a role in collagen formation, namely protein structures that have an important role in the wound healing process and antibacterial activity that causes acne infection, reduces the appearance of stretch marks due to decreased fibroblast function, and other pharmacological effects such as antioxidant, anti-aging, and anti-acne . Based on these problems and facts, the method of producing La Cica gel was carried out experimentally and based on observation as well as the literature of Centella asiatica (L) Urban effectiveness in wound healing and skin barrier repair. La Cica is a multifunctional (2 in 1) gel innovation product made by Centella asiatica (L) Urban, Aloe vera, and Lavender standardized safe for skin at IDR 80.000 which can heal wounds to remove scars and used as moisturizer, anti-acne, and anti-aging. Furthermore, the product does not contain alcohol and parabens, so it is suitable for any skin type including pregnant women. With these advantages, La Cica products are predicted to become a sustainable business and create job opportunities in Indonesia.
