Kata Kunci: Greta Thunberg, Pidato Perubahan Iklim, Pragmatik, Tindak Tutur, Persuasi Perubahan iklim telah menjadi topik yang hangat di hampir seluruh penjuru dunia, dan di antara banyak kelompok masyarakat, kaum muda diklaim memiliki kepedulian yang lebih terhadap masalah perubahan iklim ini. Naiknya topik tentang perubahan iklim di dunia saat ini tak lepas dari pengaruh dari para aktivis muda yang mengemukakan ideologi dan pengetahuan mereka mengenai perubahan iklim melalui pidato publik. Penggunaan fitur linguistik dalam pidato tentang perubahan iklim sangat penting untuk mendapatkan perhatian dan simpati masyarakat. Salah satu cara menyampaikan ideologi dan pengetahuan tentang topik perubahan iklim adalah dengan melakukan persuasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) untuk mengetahui jenis tindak tutur ilokusi yang digunakan oleh Greta Thunberg dalam pidatonya yang digunakan untuk persuasi dalam rangka menyampaikan pidato perubahan iklim yang berhasil, 2) untuk menganalisis bagaimana Greta Thunberg menerapkan tindak tutur dalam pidatonya sebagai alat persuasi. Dalam melakukan analisis, peneliti menggunakan teori klasifikasi tindak tutur ilokusi yang digagas oleh Searle (1969). Selain itu, peneliti memfokuskan pada tindak ilokusi yang digunakan sebagai alat persuasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis tindak ilokusi yang paling banyak dilakukan oleh Greta Thunberg dalam pidatonya adalah tindak tutur asertif dengan jumlah 75 (80,65%), diikuti tindak tutur komisif sebanyak 9 (9,68%), kemudian tindak tutur direktif dengan total 7 ujaran (7,53%). Namun jenis tindak ilokusi yang paling jarang ditemui adalah tindak tutur ekspresif dengan jumlah hanya 2 (2,15%). Dalam melakukan persuasi, Greta kerap menggunakan aksi asertif untuk mengutarakan argumen yang mendukung dan meyakinkan sebelum melakukan persuasi dengan memanfaatkan tindak tutur direktif dan komisif

English Abstract

Climate change has been an emerging topic in almost all over the world, and between many groups of people, youth people are claimed to have better concern about this matter. The emerging of climate change topic around the world nowadays is influenced by young climate activists that stream their climate change ideology and knowledge through public speech. The use of linguistic features in climate change speech is crucial to get people’s attention and sympathy. One of the ways to deliver ideology and knowledge about climate change is by performing persuasive utterances. The objectives of the study are 1) to find the type of illocutionary speech acts that Greta Thunberg use to reflect persuasion in order to give a successful climate change speech, 2) to analyze how Greta Thunberg applied the speech acts in her speech as persuasive device. In conducting the analysis, the researcher used Searle’s classification of illocutionary acts (1969). Moreover, the researcher focused on the illocutionary speech acts that utilized as persuasive device. The findings of the study signified that the most frequent type of illocutionary acts performed by Greta Thunberg in her speech is assertive speech act with the numbers of 75 (80.65%), followed by commissive speech act with the numbers of 9 (9.68%), then directive speech act with the total of 7 utterances (7.53%). However, the least frequent type of illocutionary speech act is expressive act with the total of only 2 utterances (2.15%). In doing the persuasion, Greta often used assertive acts to say supporting arguments and to convince people before making a directive or a commissive speech act to persuade the audience
