Abstract
Kecemasan pada seorang pasien kanker sering muncul tidak hanya saat pasien didiagnosa terkena kanker, tetapi juga saat pasien menjalani kemoterapi. Mekanisme koping digunakan pasien untuk pertahanan mengatasi kecemasan pada saat menjalani kemoterapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara mekanisme koping dengan tingkat kecemasan pasien kanker rektal yang menjalnai kemoterapi di instalasi rawat inap II RS Dr. Saiful Anwar Kota Malang. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan cross sectional dan total sampling. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien kanker rektal yang menjalani kemoterapi di Instalasi rawat inap II rumah sakit Dr. Saiful Anwar Kota malang yang berjumlah 62 orang. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner The ways of coping Questonnaire (WCQ) dan Hamilton Anxiety Range of scale (HARS). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi Spearman dengan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar mekanisme koping maladaptif dan tingkat kecemasan pasien kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh hasil koefisien korelasi -0,015 dengan signifikasi 0,910 (p<0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara mekanisme koping dengan tingkat kecemasan pasien. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pelatihan Community Mental health Nursing (CMHN) bagi tenaga medis khusunya perawat serta pembentukan pusat informasi dan konseling kesehatan mental.
English Abstract
Anxiety in a cancer patient often appears not only when the patient is diagnosed with cancer, but also when the patient is undergoing chemotherapy. Coping mechanisms are used by patients to defend themselves against anxiety while undergoing chemotherapy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between coping mechanisms and the anxiety level of rectal cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at inpatient installation II at Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang City. The design of this study used cross sectional and total sampling. Respondents in this study were rectal cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at the inpatient installation II at Dr. Saiful Anwar City of Malang, totaling 62 people. The data collection tools used were the ways of coping Questiononnaire (WCQ) and Hamilton Anxiety Range of scale (HARS) questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the Spearman correlation test with. The results showed that most of the coping mechanisms were maladaptive and the patient's level of anxiety was in the moderate category. Based on the calculation results, the correlation coefficient is -0.015 with a significance of 0.910 (p <0.05). The results showed that there was no significant relationship between coping mechanisms and the patient's anxiety level. Therefore, there is a need for Community Mental Health Nursing (CMHN) training for medical personnel, especially nurses as well as establishing a mental health information and counseling center.
