Abstract
Industri batu bata merah merupakan industri rumah pedesaan yang banyak dilakukan oleh masyarakat di Desa Temon. Desa Temon menjadi desa dengan industri batu bata merah terbanyak di Kecamatan Trowulan dibandingkan dengan desa-da lain. Namun di sisi lain, keberadaan industri batu bata merah ini dinilai menjadi salah satu hal yang mengganggu keberadaan cagar budaya. Hal tersebut terkait dengan adanya situs peninggalan Kerajaan Majapahit berupa Candi Tikus dan Candi Bajangratu di Desa Temon. Dikeluarkannya Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW) Kabupaten Mojokerto tahun 2012-2032 yang menyatakan bahwa wilayah Kecamatan Trowulan dikhususkan sebagai wilayah strategis cagar budaya dan tidak untuk kegiatan industri lain. Serta beberapa aturan perlindungan situs cagar budaya lain yang memperkuat perlindungan cagar budaya di Kecamatan Trowulan dari ancaman kehancuran. Ditetapkannya situs cagar budaya Trowulan sebagai situs cagar budaya nasional membuat harapan baru bagi pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Mojokerto untuk memperluas pasar pariwisata sejarah di Kecamatan Trowulan. Namun pada akhirnya, industri pariwisata kurang memberi dampak yang baik bagi ekonomi masyarakat sekitar. Peluang keterlibatan masyarakat Desa Temon sangat kecil dalam industri pariwisata tersebut. Industri batu bata merah jauh lebih menguntungkan bagi masyarakat Desa Temon. Pada akhirnya industri tersebut terus berjalan hingga kini.
English Abstract
The red brick industry is a rural home industry that is mostly carried out by the people in Temon Village. Temon Village is the village with the most red brick industries in Trowulan District compared to other villages. But on the other hand, the existence of the red brick industry is considered to be one of the things that disturbs the existence of cultural heritage. This is related to the existence of heritage sites from the Majapahit Kingdom in the form of Tikus Temple and Bajangratu Temple in Temon Village. The issuance of the Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW) Kabupaten Mojokerto 2012-2032 which states that the Trowulan District area is designated as a strategic area of cultural heritage and not for other industrial activities. As well as several regulations for the protection of other cultural heritage sites that strengthen the protection of cultural heritage in Trowulan District from the threat of destruction. The designation of the Trowulan cultural heritage site as a national cultural heritage site has created new hope for the local government of Mojokerto Regency to expand the historical tourism market in Trowulan District. But in the end, the tourism industry does not have a good impact on the economy of the surrounding community. There is very little opportunity for the involvement of the Temon Village community in the tourism industry. The red brick industry is far more profitable for the people of Temon Village. In the end the industry continues to run until now.
