Abstract
Jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman hortikultura yang memiliki peranan penting dan biasanya jagung manis banyak dikonsumsi dalam berbagai bentuk olahan seperti jagung rebus, jagung bakar, jasuke, dan sayur jagung. Salah satu sentra produksi jagung manis terbesar di Indonesia ialah Jawa Timur. Produksi jagung manis di Jawa Timur pada tahun 2016 yaitu 6,28 juta ton, tahun 2017 yaitu 6,34 juta ton dan tahun 2018 yaitu 6,75 juta ton. Akan tetapi, kebutuhan jagung manis masih belum tercukupi apabila kebutuhan jagung manis di Jawa Timur dapat mencapai 7 juta ton. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produksi jagung manis yaitu pemberian pupuk yang ramah lingkungan dan menggunakan varietas unggul. Pupuk yang dianggap ramah lingkungan biasanya dalam bentuk cair seperti urin sapi, kelinci dan kambing. Hal ini dikarenakan, kotoran cair hewan memiliki kandungan unsur hara lebih tinggi dibandingkan kotoran padat. Selain itu, peningkatan produksi jagung manis dapat diperoleh dengan menggunakan varietas unggul seperti varietas talenta, panglima dan bonanza. Varietas talenta mampu beradaptasi dengan baik pada lingkungan dataran rendah hingga medium, varietas panglima mampu beradaptasi dengan baik pada lingkungan dataran rendah dan varietas bonanza F1 mampu beradaptasi dengan baik pada lingkungan dataran tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil masing-masing varietas jagung manis terhadap pemberian tiga jenis pupuk organik cair urin ternak. Hipotesis dari penelitian ini yaitu 1) terdapat interaksi antara varietas dan jenis pupuk organik cair urin ternak terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis yang tinggi, 2) respon beberapa varietas jagung manis (Talenta, Panglima dan Bonanza F1) memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik terhadap pemberian pupuk organik cair urin ternak yang berbeda ataupun sama (sapi, kelinci atau kambing) dengan konsentrasi 300 ml/L tanaman-1. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan petani tepatnya di Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang, Jawa Timur mulai pada bulan Mei hingga Agustus 2022. Alat yang digunakan ialah cangkul, cetok, kamera, meteran, oven, tray, kertas milimeter blok, timbangan digital, jangka sorong, juicer dan hand refraktometer. Bahan yang digunakan ialah benih jagung manis varietas Bonanza F1, varietas Talenta dan varietas Panglima, alvaboard, karbofuran 3%, pupuk NPK majemuk, propinep 70%, profenofos 500 g/l, mesotrin 50 g/l dan atrazine 500 g/l, pupuk organik cair urin sapi, kelinci dan kambing. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (RPT) yang terdiri dari petak utama yaitu varietas tanaman (V) dan anak petak yaitu jenis pupuk organik cair urin ternak (J). Petak utama terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu V1 : varietas Talenta, V2 : varietas Panglima dan V3 : varietas Bonanza F1. Anak petak terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu J0 : kontrol, J1: pupuk organik cair urin sapi, J2 : pupuk organik cair urin kelinci dan J3 : pupuk organik cair urin kambing dengan konsentrasi 300 ml / 1 L air per tanaman. Pelaksanaan penelitian terdiri dari persiapan lahan, pengambilan sampel tanah, proses fermentasi pupuk organik cair ii urin ternak, pengambilan sampel pupuk organik cair urin ternak, penanaman, pemupukan, pemeliharaan dan panen. Variabel pengamatan yang diamati yaitu destruktif dan non destruktif. Pengamatan destruktif terdiri dari bobot segar dan bobot kering bagian atas tanaman, diameter tongkol tanpa kelobot, panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot, bobot segar berkelobot, bobot segar tanpa kelobot, kadar gula dan hasil panen jagung. Sedangkan, pengamatan non destruktif terdiri dari jumlah daun, tinggi tanaman dan luas daun. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (uji F) dengan taraf 5% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya interaksi antara tiga varietas (talenta, panglima dan bonanza F1) dan tiga jenis pupuk organik cair urin ternak (sapi, kelinci dan kambing) terhadap pertumbuhan bobot segar dan bobot kering bagian atas tanaman serta bobot segar tongkol berkelobot dan hasil panen jagung manis. Selain itu, jagung manis varietas bonanza F1 memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik pada seluruh parameter pengamatan terhadap pemberian pupuk organik cair urin ternak kambing dengan konsentrasi 300 ml/L tanaman
English Abstract
Sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt L.) is one of the horticultural crop that has an important role dan usually the sweet corn is consumed in various processed forms such as boiled corn, jasuke, grits and corn vegetables. One of the largest sweet corn production centers in Indonesia is East Java. Sweet corn production in East Java in 2016 was 6.28 million tons, in 2017 it was 6.34 million tons and in 2018 it was 6.75 million tons. However, the need for sweet corn is still not enough if the demand of sweet corn in East Java can reach 7 million tons. Efforts that can be made to increase sweet corn production are giving of environmentally friendly fertilizers and the use of excelent varieties. Fertilizers that are considered environmentally friendly are usually in liquid form such as cow, rabbit and goat urine liquid organic fertilizer. Because, the liquid of animal manure has a higher nutrient content than solid manure. In addition, increased production of sweet corn can be obtained by using excellent varieties such as Talenta, Panglima and Bonanza variety. Talenta varieties are able to adapt well to lowland to medium environments, the panglima variety is able to adapt well to the lowland environment and the bonanza F1 variety is able to adapt well to the highland environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth response and yield of each sweet corn variety to the administration of three types of livestock urine liquid organic fertilizer. The hypothesis of this study are 1) there is an interaction between varieties and types of liquid organic fertilizer urine on the growth dan high yield of sweet corn plants, 2) the responses of several varieties of sweet corn (Talenta, Panglima and Bonanza F1) give the best growth and yield to the application of liquid organic fertilizer for the urine of different or the same livestock (cows, rabbits and goats) with a concentration 300 ml/L plant-1. The research was carried out on farmers' land in Lowokwaru District, Malang City, East Java from May to August 2022. The tools used are hoe, trowel, camera, meteran, oven, tray, millimeter block paper, digital scale, caliper, juicer and hand refractometer. The materials used were sweet corn seeds of the Bonanza F1 variety, the Talenta variety and the Panglima variety, alvaboard, 3% carbofuran, compound NPK fertilizer, 70% propinep, 500 g/l profenofos, 50 g/l mesotrin and 500 g/l atrazine, fertilizers organic liquid urine of cows, rabbits and goats. This study used a split plot design (RPT) which consisted of the main plot, namely plant varieties (V) and subplots, namely liquid organic fertilizer (J). The main plot consisted of 3 levels, namely V1: Talenta variety, V2: Panglima variety and V3: Bonanza F1 variety. The sub-plots consisted of 4 levels, namely J0: control, J1: cow urine liquid organic fertilizer, J2: rabbit urine liquid organic fertilizer and J3: goat urine liquid organic fertilizer with a concentration of 300 ml/1 L of water per plant. The implementation of the research consisted of land preparation, soil sampling, fermentation process of liquid organic fertilizer of livestock urine, sampling of liquid organic fertilizer of livestock urine, planting, fertilization, maintenance and harvesting. The observed variables were destructive and non-destructive. iv Destructive observations consisted of fresh weight and dry weight of the top of the plant, cob diameter without husk, cob length without husk, fresh weight with husk, fresh weight without husk, sugar level and corn yield. Meanwhile, non-destructive observations consisted of number of leaves, plant height and leaf area. The data obtained from the research results were analyzed using analysis of variance (F test) with a level of 5% and continued with the BNT test at a level of 5%. The results of research show that there was an interaction between three varieties (talenta, panglima and bonanza F1) and three types of liquid organic fertilizer of livestock urine (cow, rabbit and goat) on the growth of wet weight and dry weight of the top of the plant as well as fresh weight of cob and sweet corn yields. In addition, sweet corn in the bonanza F1 variety gave the best growth and yields for all parameters observed in the application of liquid organic fertilizer in goat urine with a concentration of 300 ml/L plant-
