Abstract
Terong (Solanum melongena L.) merupakan jenis sayuran buah yang sangat disukai oleh banyak orang. Tanaman terong mengandung zat gizi yang bermanfaat bagi manusia. Permintaan pasar terhadap terong di Indonesia setiap tahunnya mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini dikarenakan jumlah penduduk yang meningkat hingga 254 juta jiwa. Tingginya permintaan pasar terhadap tanaman terong pada tahun 2014 sekitar 740.000 ton/ha tidak diimbangi dengan produktivitas tanaman terong di Indonesia. Produktivitas perlu ditingkatkan mulai dari perbaikan teknis budidaya tanaman terong hingga perlakuan pasca panen. Salah satu hal yang perlu diperhatikan dalam melakukan budidaya adalah ketersediaan unsur hara yang cukup untuk mendukung pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terong. Penambahan unsur hara dapat dilakukan dengan pemupukan. Pupuk yang diberikan terdiri dari dua jenis, yaitu pupuk organik dan pupuk anorganik. Penggabungan pupuk organik dan pupuk anorganik harus dengan dosis pupuk yang tepat. Dosis pemupukan yang tepat akan menentukan pertumbuhan tanaman agar subur dan produktif. Namun, apabila pemberian dosis pupuk tidak sesuai anjuran atau petunjuk pemupukan, maka yang terjadi adalah tanaman tidak memberikan hasil apapun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dosis kombinasi pupuk NPK dan pupuk kandang yang tepat terhadap petumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terong. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2020 sampai dengan bulan Februari 2021 di Kabupaten Situbondo. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 10 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali ulangan. Sehingga diperoleh total 30 petak percobaan. V0: 10 ton ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam; V1: 200 kg ha-1 NPK + 5 ton ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam; V2: 200 kg ha-1 NPK + 10 ton ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam; V3: 200 kg ha-1 NPK + 15 ton ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam; V4: 300 kg ha-1 NPK + 5 ton ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam; V5: 300 kg ha-1 NPK + 10 ton ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam; V6: 300 kg ha-1 NPK + 15 ton ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam; V7: 400 kg ha-1 NPK + 5 ton ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam; V8: 400 kg ha-1 NPK + 10 ton ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam; V9: 400 kg ha-1 NPK + 15 ton ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam. Jumlah tanaman yang digunakan setiap petak berjumlah 20 tanaman. Sehingga jumlah seluruh populasi tanaman terong yang digunakan untuk percobaan berjumlah 600 tanaman. Data diperoleh dari beberapa pengamatan yakni tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun per tanaman, berat kering tanaman, jumlah bunga, total bobot buah per tanaman, jumlah buah, panjang buah, dan diameter buah. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan Analisis Ragam (ANNOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji F 5%. Apabila perlakuan berbeda nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ pada taraf 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan pupuk NPK dan pupuk kandang ayam memberikan pengaruh yang cukup signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terong. Perlakuan (V4) 300 kg ha-1 NPK + 5 ton ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam berpengaruh signifikan pada tinggi tanaman dan bobot buah per tanaman. Sedangkan perlakuan (V3) 200 kg ha-1 NPK + 15 ton ha-upuk kandang ayam berpengaruh signifikan pada jumlah daun, luas daun, jumlah bunga, panjang buah, dan diameter buah.
English Abstract
Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a type of fruit vegetable that is like by many people. Eggplant contain nutrients that are beneficial to humans. The market demand for eggplant in Indonesia is increasing every year. This is because the population has increased to 254 million people. The high market demand for eggplant in 2014 around 740,000 tonnes/ha was not matched by the productivity of eggplant in Indonesia. Productivity needs to increase, starting from technical improvements in eggplant cultivation to post-harvest treatment. One of the things that need to be considered in conducting cultivation is the availability of sufficient nutrients to support the growth and yield of eggplant plants. The addition of nutrients can be done by fertilization. The fertilizers given consist of two types, namely organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers. The combination of organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers must be with the right dose of fertilizer. The right dose of fertilization will determine plant growth to be fertile and productive. However, if the fertilizer dose is not given according to the recommendations or fertilizer instructions, then what happens is that the plant does not give any results. The purpose of this study was to determine the correct dose of combination of NPK fertilizer and manure on eggplant growth and yield. This research was conducted from November 2020 to February 2021 in Situbondo Regency. The experimental design used in this study was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 10 treatments and was repeated 3 times. Thus, a total of 30 experimental plots were obtained. V0: 10 tons ha-1 of chicken manure; V1: 200 kg ha-1 NPK + 5 tons ha-1 chicken manure; V2: 200 kg ha-1 NPK + 10 tons ha-1 chicken manure; V3: 200 kg ha-1 NPK + 15 tons ha-1 chicken manure; V4: 300 kg ha-1 NPK + 5 tons ha-1 chicken manure; V5: 300 kg ha-1 NPK + 10 tons ha-1 chicken manure; V6: 300 kg ha-1 NPK + 15 tons ha-1 chicken manure; V7: 400 kg ha-1 NPK + 5 tons ha-1 chicken manure; V8: 400 kg ha-1 NPK + 10 tons ha-1 chicken manure; V9: 400 kg ha-1 NPK + 15 tons ha-1 chicken manure. The number of plants used in each plot was 20 plants. So that the total population of eggplant plants used for the experiment amounted to 600 plants. Data were obtained from several observations, namely plant height, number of leaves, leaf area per plant, dry weight of plants, number of flowers, total weight of fruit per plant, number of fruits, fruit length, and fruit diameter. The data obtained from the observations were analyzed using Analysis of Variety (ANNOVA) and continued with the 5% F test. If the treatment is significantly different, then it is continued with the HSD test at the 5% level. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the addition of NPK fertilizer and chicken manure has a significant effect on the growth and yield of eggplant. Treatment (V4) 300 kg ha-1 NPK + 5 tons ha-1 chicken manure had a significant effect on plant height and fruit weight per plant. While treatment (V3) 200 kg ha-1 NPK + 15 tons ha-1 chicken manure had a significant effect on the number of leaves, leaf area, number of flowers, fruit length, and fruit diameter
