Abstract

Kabupaten Kediri merupakan salah satu kabupaten yang menghasilkan produksi tanaman tebu sebesar 14,92%. Kecamatan Ngadiluwih merupakan salah satu daerah di Kabupaten Kediri dimana penduduk berkerja sebagai petani tebu. Adapun produksi tebu di Kecamatan Ngadiluwih pada tahun 2018-2021 mengalami penurunan. Hal ini disebabkan karena rata-rata di Kecamatan Ngadiluwih pemanfaatan faktor- faktor input produksi seperti penggunaan benih, tenaga kerja, luas lahan, pupuk serta pestisida masih belum maksimal. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat efisiensi teknis dan faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi inefesiensi teknis usahatani tebu varietas PS-862 dan BL di Kecamatan Ngadiluwih, Kabupaten Kediri, Jawa Timur. Lokasi penelitian di Kecamatan Ngadiluwih dengan mempertimbangkan jumah produksi yaitu 210.680 ton. Kecamatan Ngadiluwih merupakan salah satu kecamatan yang menjadi sentra penghasil tebu di Kabupaten Kediri. Metode pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 30 petani varietas PS-862 dan 30 orang petani varietas BL (Bululawang). Teknik analisis data menggunakan Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) dengan model variabel return to scale dan berorientasi input. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai efisiensi teknis usahatani tebu di Kecamatan Ngadiluwih varietas BL adalah 0,964 sedangkan varietas PS-862 adalah 0,919. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi teknis usahatani tebu adalah usia petani dan pengalaman berusahatani. Efisiensi teknis tebu pada varietas BL akan meningkat dengan semakin bertambahnya usia petani, dan juga efisiensi akan meningkat dengan semakin bertambahnya pengalaman lama berusahatani tebu. Efisiensi teknis tebu pada varietas PS-862 menurun dengan semakin bertambahnya usia petani, dan efisiensi meningkat dengan semakin bertambahnya pengalaman petani

English Abstract

Kediri Regency is one of the regencies that produces the largest sugarcane production 14,92%. Ngadiluwih District is one of the areas in Kediri Regency where the majority of the population work as sugarcane farmers. The sugarcane production in Ngadiluwih District in 2018-2021 has decreased. This is because on average in Ngadiluwih District the use of production input factors such as the use of seeds, labor, land area, fertilizers and pesticides is still not optimal. The purpose of the study was to analyze the level of technical efficiency and the factors that could affect the technical inefficiency of sugarcane farming of PS-862 and BL varieties in Ngadiluwih District, Kediri Regency, East Java. The research location is in Ngadiluwih District by considering the level of production is 210.680 ton. Ngadiluwih District is one of the districts which is the center of sugarcane production in Kediri Regency. The sampling method in this study was purposive sampling with a sample size of 30 farmers of PS-862 variety and 30 farmers of BL (Bululawang) variety. The data analysis technique uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with a vrs model (return to scale variable) and is input-oriented. The results of the analysis showed that the average value of the technical efficiency of sugarcane farming in the District of Ngadiluwih for the BL variety was 0.964 while the PS-862 variety was 0.919. The factors that affect the technical efficiency of sugarcane farming are the age of the farmer and the experience of farming. The technical efficiency of sugarcane in the BL variety will increase with increasing age of farmers, and also efficiency will increase with increasing years of experience in sugarcane farming. The technical efficiency of sugarcane in the PS- 862 variety decreased with increasing age of the farmers, and the efficiency increased with the increasing experience of farmers.
