Abstract
Kacang bambara termasuk dalam famili Leguminosae dan subfamili Papilionoideae. Kacang bambara memiliki kandungan berupa protein dan karbohidrat yang baik untuk tubuh. Kacang bambara juga memiliki keunggulan dibanding tanaman lain yaitu tetap dapat tumbuh dan berproduksi dikondisi lingkungan yang kering. Komposisi nutrisi dan karakter kacang bambara yang tahan pada lingkungan kering dapat menjadikan tanaman ini berpotensi untuk dikembangkan. Namun umur panen kacang bambara cukup lama yaitu kurang lebih lima bulan dan daya hasilnya rendah yaitu kurang dari 4 ton/ha. Oleh karena itu telah dilakukan banyak penelitian pada berbagai aksesi kacang bambara yang bertujuan untuk mendapat karakter yang berpotensi dapat dikembangkan menjadi varietas unggul. Pada penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan mengamati karakter kualitatif dan kuantitatif pada tujuh galur kacang bambara yang ditanam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi penampilan pertumbuhan dan potensi hasil dari tujuh galur kacang bambara yang diuji. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Bulan Desember 2020 sampai Juni 2021 di Agro Techno Park, Badan Usaha Akademik Universitas Brawijaya, Desa Jatikerto Kecamatan Kromengan Kabupaten Malang. Alat yang digunakan meliputi alat untuk kegiatan selama budidaya dan pengamatan. Bahan tanam yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa tujuh galur kacang bambara dintaranya adalah PWBG 5.2.1, SS 2.4.2, BBL 1.1, PWBG 6, SS 3.4.2, CCC 1.6, dan TVSU 8.6 .Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah rancangan acak kelompok (RAK). Rancangan ini terdiri dari empat ulangan, masing masing ulangan terdapat 7 galur kacang bambara. Variabel pengamatan meliputi karakter kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Karakter kualitatif meliputi tipe pertumbuhan, warna polong, bentuk polong, warna biji, dan bentuk biji. Karakter kualitatif dilakukan dengan pengamatan visual dan dibandingkan dengan deskriptor. Karakter kuantitatif meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, umur 50% tanaman berbunga, jumlah polong per tanaman, jumlah biji per tanaman, panjang biji, lebar biji, tebal biji, bobot 100 biji, bobot total per plot, bobot polong per tanaman, bobot biji per tanaman dan potensi hasil (ton/ha). Data kualitatif disajikan secara deskriptif dengan bantuan descriptor for Bambara Groundnut (Vigna subterranea (L.) Verdcourt) dari IPGRI (International Plant Genetic Resources Institut). Data kuantitatif dianalisis secara statistik dengan analisis ragam, uji perbandingan rata- rata yaitu BNJ dengan taraf 5% , analisis nilai KKF, KKG dan heritabilitas. Hasil penelitian penampilan pertumbuhan dan potensi hasil dari tujuh galur kacang Bambara didapatkan bahwa pertumbuhan ketujuh galur kacang Bambara tersebut memiliki penampilan yang bervariasi pada karakter tipe pertumbuhan, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan umur berbunga. Pada potens hasil galur SS 3.4.2, SS 2.4.2, dan PWBG 6 memiliki potensi hasil yang melebihi dari galur pembanding TVSU 8.6 dengan rerata potensi hasilnya secara berurutan adalah 3,55 ton/ha, 3,35 ton/ha dan 3,36 ton/ha
English Abstract
Bambara groundnut included in the Leguminosae family and subfamily Papilionoideae. Bambara groundnut contain protein and carbohydrates that are good for the body. Bambara groundnut also have advantages over other plants that can still grow and produce in dry environmental conditions. The nutritional composition and character of the bambara groundnut which is resistant to dry environments can make this plant potential to develop. However, the harvest age of bambara groundnut is quite long, which is about 5 months and the yield is low, which is less than 4 tons. Therefore, many studies have been carried out on various accessions of bambara groundnut which aim to obtain characters that can be developed into superior varieties. This research was carried out by considering the qualitative and quantitative characters of seven bambara groundnut lines planted. The purpose of this study was to observe the growth performance and yield potential of the seven bambara groundnut lines. The study was conducted from December 2020 to June 2021 at Agro Techno Park, Brawijaya University Academic Business Entity, Jatikerto Village, Kromengan District, Malang Regency. The tools used include tools for cultivation and observation activities. The planting materials used in the study were six expected lines of bambara groundnut, namely PWBG 5.2.1, SS 2.4.2, BBL 1.1, PWBG 6, SS 3.4.2, and CCC 1.6, and TVSU 8.6 lines as a control. The experimental design used in this study was a randomized complete block design (RCBD). This design consisted of four replications, each of which contained 7 bambara groundnut lines. Randomization was carried out for each replication. Observation variables include quantitative and qualitative characters. Qualitative characters include growth type, pod color, pod shape, seed color, and seed shape. Qualitative characters were carried out by visual observation and compared with descriptors. Quantitative characters include plant height, number of leaves, age of 50% of flowering plants, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed length, seed width, seed thickness, weight of 100 seeds, total weight per plot, weight of pods per plant, seed weight per plant and yield potential (tonnes/ha). Qualitative data were presented descriptively with the help of the descriptor for Bambara Groundnut (Vigna subterranea (L.) Verdcourt) from IPGRI (International Plant Genetic Resources Institute). Quantitative data were analyzed statistically by analysis of variance, average comparison test Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) at the 5% level, analysis of CVF, CVG and heritability values. The results of the research on the growth appearance and yield potential of the seven Bambara groundnut lines showed that the growth of the seven Bambara iv varied in appearance on the characters of growth type, plant height, number of leaves, and flowering age. The yield potential of the SS 3.4.2, SS 2.4.2, and PWBG 6 lines has yield potential that exceeds the comparison line TVSU 8.6 with the average yield potential respectively as much as 3,55 tons/ha, 3,35 tons/ha and 3,36 tons/ha.
