Abstract
Ulkus traumatikus merupakan lesi ulseratif pada mukosa mulut yang disebabkan oleh trauma.Daun Ocimum sanctum yang dijadikan ekstrak terbukti telah memiliki pengaruh terhadap immuno modulator, antiulcer, dan anti inflamasi karena pengaruh dari zat-zat aktif yang terkandung yaitu saponin, flavonoid, tanin, dan alkaloid. Tujuan dari studi literatur ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun kemangi dalam penyembuhan ulkus traumatikus. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah metode PRISMA yaitu pencarian literatur melalaui database elektronik berdasarkan kata kunci yang telah ditetapkan seperti PUBMED (National Library of Medicine), Google Cendekia (Google Scholar), Sciencedirect, Elsevier. Hasil Berdasarkan studi literature 11 jurnal dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun kemangi dapat dijadikan temuan inovatif terapi dalam penyembuhan ulkus traumatikus. Metode ekstraksi yang dapat digunakan antara lain menggunakan etanol, aquadest dan metanol. Kesimpulan Ekstrak daun kemangi yang paling efektif dalam penyembuhan ulkus traumatikus adalah gel ekstrak daun kemangi 1,5% dengan metode maserasi etanol 70%.
English Abstract
Traumatic ulcers are ulcerative lesions on the oral mucosa caused by trauma. Ocimum sanctum leaves which are used as extracts have been shown to have an effect on immunomodulators, antiulcer, and anti-inflammatory effects due to the impact of the active substances contained, saponins, flavonoids, tannins, and alkaloids. . The purpose of this literature study was to determine the effect of basil leaf extract in healing traumatic ulcers. The method used for this research is the PRISMA method, which is a literature search through an electronic database based on predetermined keywords such as PUBMED (National Library of Medicine), Google Scholar (Google Scholar), Sciencedirect, Elsevier. Results Based on a literature study of 11 journals, it can be concluded that basil leaf extract can be used as an innovative therapeutic finding in healing traumatic ulcers. Extraction methods that can be used include ethanol, aquadest and methanol. Conclusion The most effective basil leaf extract in healing traumatic ulcers was 1.5% basil leaf extract gel with 70% ethanol maceration method.
